This was amusing as I have a feeling there are some dogs smart enough to go somewhere--even a vet's office--on their own. Good luck in the contest.

It really happened. My vet told me about it. We were discussing how one of my cats went hunting for him down the hallway.

Oh, wow! This is a hoot! Dog is more punctual than his owner. I'm chuckling at that, as most dogs and cats hate their trips to the vet's. I recall taking my dog to the veterinary hospital at Purdue University. She wasn't at all happy to be there, but I noticed a large dog that was brought in went right up and put his paws on the counter. You got your story in with the specified number of words. This should be great in the contest, and best of luck.

Thank you, Judy. Animals are smarter than we give them credit.
-
You're welcome. They usually don't like their vet's visits, though. judi
-
Strangely, mine do. They love their vet.
-
That's sweet. My cats usually don't like to go, although they're well behaved once they got there. One time I was taking my cat to the vet and when I picked up the carrier she had somehow disappeared. I had to call the vet and tell her I'd be there when I found my cat. judi
-
Hahaha. That's happened me many times. Mine have never been in a carrier although I have two. They stay right in my lap.
-
I have a carrier that I really like now. It opens from the top, so you can just ease the cat right down into it. judi

sounds good.

Haha, good job, Yvonne. That dog seems to know what his owner doesn't. Maybe the dog knows he needs some meds or it's time for his checkup. Anyway, his owner better wise up or he will be in the doghouse. Thanks for sharing a fun story. Best wishes, Jan

Thank you. I thought it was such a cute thing for the dog to do.

LOL, Hi, Yvonne. Very clever entry for the contest here. To take a simple doctor's appointment (Vet) and put it on the level of the dog and keeping hid appointment made for an enjoyable read, my friend. Good luck in the contest. Bob

It really happened. Fortunately, he lived just down the street from the vet's. Thank you, Bob, for reviewing.

Amazing! LOL.
