Children jump right into life and I love that especially the ones that have no fears.
Your Nove Otto poem is in excellent form - good rhyme and meter. Best wishes in the contest.

I like the idea to write a poem on this topic.
When you go for a walk with a child, the kid will try to jump up and down in all the puddles.
When we had our big Bernese Mountain dog, it was the same. He loved the water and whenever possible he used to look for a puddle where he could sprawl. For kids and dogs it's the same: When life is a game it makes more sense for them.
Thank you for this well-penned poem

I've decided to attack my inbox of reviews back-to-front today, for I never quite seem to get to the bottom of it! Apologies for not having responded to this for well over a week, which is not a reflection on the value i place on it! I appreciate your review of my poem, "Puddles" and your very kind comments. Thank you! I enjoyed hearing about your Bernese Mountain Dog! All the best, Tony

That was excellent, Tony, and so true! What child (adult too) can resist jumping into puddles. Great fun! Well done on this charming Nove Otto poem, it's the perfect rhyme scheme for this delightful topic. Well done and good luck. :) Sandra x

Oh, I love this one. I'm going to bookshelf it. I'm partial to Nove Otto Poems, with their fascinating structure/rhyming pattern. And you have written yours with perfect meter, as usual. This is a terrific piece of work. Margaret

The iambic pentameter and rhyme scheme and upbeat tone are perfect vehicles for capturing this moment of childhood innocence, this moment when children discover puddles, the trapped sky, the magic of reflections, the joy of stamping the water into a splash. estory

Just perfect, Tony! It brought back wonderful memories of my toddler twins running outside in the rare Yuma rains, to jump joyfully into the puddles, splashing each other with mud. You have described this so perfectly and stuck to the rules of the form. This should do well in the contest. I really enjoyed it.

A very well-written Nove Otto. Children plays and life their every day in all honesty and they give all they have from within their hearts. They have no cares about dirt on their clothes, they just enjoy each moment.

G'day Tony.
How's life in the old country?
A very clever little piece and a great contest entry, mate. Beautifully rhymed with a fab image to compliment it.
You are 100% correct about when life is a game it makes more sense lol.
All the best of luck in the contest.
Great job.

I love the sentiments behind these words, we should be more light hearted and appreciate the little things in life as children embrace everything don't they? A clever use of words here, love Dolly x

I enjoyed reading your poem " Puddles."
You rhymed it beautifully according to the rules, and chose a perfect photo. Isn't that just like a child?
All the best.
