A very well-written poem experiment. It is an up beat poem that can make anyone smile. Although the physical body cannot dance anymore, the mind seems to go anywhere with the right words.

Very many thanks for your kind review, Sandra. Much appreciated. My physical body never was particularly adept at the dance! It's all in the mind these days!

You've got me wondering if poetry is a matter of cranial logic, or something that is spun in the soul, heart or spirit and takes and its form by aspiring to whatever form it desires I always thought its expression is free of scribal intellectual opinion, but then... Well done, I rather like the dancing theme sitting underneath the work, articulate and energetically written, well done, Tony, blessings, Roy

Very many thanks for your interesting comments about this one, Roy. Personally I think that the best poetry is spun from the heart, but then it is the poet's task to weave it into shape.

I agree from the heart, that's the best source, the passionate part of us, writing frees knowledge I never thought I held, but then, if a mind's connected to God, the resources of the universe are available... Just hard to access, (off on a tangent, heh, heh)!

A creative and clever free verse/pantoum poem Tony.
I liked the repeating lines that gave momentum to the poem.
The Fred Astaire picture was perfect for this piece.

Great enthusiasm and fun in this one.

Blessings
Janet

Hi Tony - a great read and a jazzy write. I'm glad I also read your author notes, because, had I not, I would have been wondering about the Pantoum, or should I say the free verse. A fun piece of writing and a great picture. I must add that whoever dances with you will be very disappointed if they have seen Fred Astaire dancing LOL. (I've actually danced with him twice - in my dreams - truly! It was fantastic) Dorothy

Ha! Ha! Very, very disappointed! Even Ginger Rogers wouldn't get me leaping that high!
