How did I know she set him on a task to slip away? As always, beautifully written in every way - not a single thing didn't fit, every detail bringing the scene to vivid life. I really can't imagine why you waste time here, though I am awfully glad you do!

first paragraph--lurid wink or lewd wink?
I wasn't doing it out duty to --out of duty?
Aha, the thot plickens, as my pop used to say. Axtilla has issues with Kyre, it seems. I bet Doctrex will be wishing he was in a cottage in the boonies before long. You're still on the ball, Jay.

It is now a lewd wink. Thanks for pointing that out to me. I need to refine my use of lurid.

I wonder why she's insisting on calling him Doctex and not Pondria as she was before they made love, and planning to "run away". The story's at an interesting crossroads, the complexity of Axtilla's personality is at that interesting point of the Greek goddess, more human than god, more mysterious than a maze, why is it that men always appear as bumbling fools at this point? Well done, excellent writing, very difficult for you. Blessings, Roy
Typo : I wasn't doing it out (of) duty to my people.2: Duting the (lenthy) process of hooking together the clasps.

She calls him Doctrex because she wants to distance herself from the final "showdown" with Rhuether. She's having second thoughts, normal fears, etc.

I took care of the two nits. Thanks for your eagle eyes.

    Blessings to you, Roy.

Ok coming in fresh and having not read anything before on this book or characters. I really liked what I read; the flow - setting up of the scenes; along with the conversations. Its structured well and honestly I look forward to reading more.

Thank you for sharing.

I appreciate your reading this, especially in light as it's so deep into the novel. I'm glad you enjoyed it for whatever in my writing turned you on. Please come back. I guarantee the next five or so chapters to the end will be non-stop action.

Loved it, Jay. Really good stuff. I wonder has come over Axtilla. Is she really leaving the room? If so, what is she planning? Is Kyre directing her?

When I pulled my hands away from her face I nodded again. ' You know the rule.

I can't wait for the next one.

Take care,
Russell

Hey, my good friend, Russell. Thanks for the six. It's an honor coming from you. Yes, the Axtilla has left the room. Next is how soon before the shirtless Pondria, with two glasses of water in his paws, can get dressed and out the door. The next 5 or so chapters to the end promise to be gripping.
