The twins look adorable in those costumes you made for them. Your writing is always so well-written and easy to follow, and I could really identify with your problems of caring for young children while working full-time as well. I was truly glad your son did not get an 'award' for being retarded... I was starting to bristle there for a moment. :) Sandra

It seems things were a bit hectic for you during that time, but I'll bet you feel good about it now, staying in there and coping, as you did.

Thank you Samuel. I appreciate the review and comments. I wonder now how I managed to do some of the things I did but I was a lot younger then and just took them in stride.

I enjoyed your story very much, it is funny how you say in your notes that is was in 1969, yet I could identify it with my daughter at present, she is a working mum, with twins seven, Molly is 12, and Tom is 10. It appears things are pretty similar, except it is mobile phones they are using today.
A great story, and so typical of a working Mum.

Thank you so much for the review and the nice comments. I guess a lot has changed in the technical world but human relationships stay pretty much the same. I'm so glad you enjoyed the story.

You really do good work in relating the trials of your child-raising days. Good mix of dialogue and narration. Love the story about an award for being retarded. That's a story to hand down to his children. I can't believe you made too costumes the day before the play. Beth Superwoman!

Thank you so much for the review and the nice comments. Don's own son is a whole lot iike his father was. I did a lot of things back in those days that I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to tackle now. It's a good you have them while you're young.

The writer does a good job of leading the reader where the reader needs to go. The transition is good. The chapter has good balance. The pace is steady and consistent as I see nothing that I would change in this chapter.

Thank you so much for the review and comments. It isn't easy. Children bring a lot of joy into your life but a lot of problems too. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
