Your early adventures in the job-world seem almost as bad as mine. If only employers would remember the golden rule. They seldom do, apparently.

Thank you Samuel. I'm sure most people starting out have a hard time finding a nitch where they really fit. My husband was older than me but he'd had his share of having to move from one job to the other as well.

Thank you so much for the review and the comments and corrections. I appreciate you finding these spags. Since I've corrected them, do you think you could change the rating to five stars since you're the only one who has given me less.

I always like workplace tales (see my novel here) and this is promising. Noted one mistake: word should be preempted ( no I).

Curious to learn more about character, her family life. Maybe include dialog between her husband and her.

Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for the review and comments. This is part of a much larger collection of stories about my marriage. The first few chapters are almost entirely about the family. There will more later. I'll try to include more dialogue but my husband doesn't like me putting words into his mouth. LOL

A well written essay on the trials and tribulations of employment in a Fickled job market. A humorous look at switchboard operations way back when. Today, there are call centers, but the idiots who call and complain haven't changed much.

Thank you so much for the review and comments. I know you are right about the idiots who call and complain. Anytime you deal with people, you realize time hasn't done much to change people's personalities.

Once again, this continuation of your previous section is excellently written, and is an excellent story. I look to read more of the trials and tribulations of a young woman seeking to find a comfortable niche in a man's world.
