One star hotel. Door number seven. You are keen on symbolism to help deliver a good read. One that is deep and thoughtful. As always vivid descriptions and great metaphors. Not everyone knows how to place a good metaphor. If good descriptive writing was easy more people would do it. But you are at the top of your game. Lived in Texas 12 years of my life. This brought back memories. Stan

Hi Stan, Funny, I was in the middle of reading your chapter and my pc just went nuts...so when I got back I came to this review first. Weird. VERY weird. Thank you so much...and neat that you are a Texan! :) Too dusty for me tho. I have to have some moisture. I'm just so glad you liked this. I really tried. loL! Susan

Wow Susan, this is good. Of lust and desire in broken down town and a broken down hotel. It is all just the same, desire that won't quit and willingness to experience it.

Hi Pam...Thanks! :) I really worked on this, and finally hit send at 11:59 exactly. I'm not sure if it's entered, but who knows. I had to keep editing. Thank you so much for reading it tho it was longer. I do appreciate that. xoxo. Susan

DId you ever see "The Last Picture Show"? It's great Pam. It's black and white too. Which adds to the ambiance of it all. Made in '71...the year before I graduated high school! Lol! :) S.

Larry McMurtry came to mind while I was reading this ! Of course, I'm a native Texan so maybe that's cheatin' a bit, but it certainly kept my attention throughout. I liked the ending. It was real- not one of those mushy soap-opera type tales of lust and romance.

Hi Angel...Thank you! Yes, I sort of took off from the death of the boy who swept all the time and made my own ending to The Last Picture Show.? I guess it's okay to do that. Such a fascinating show, so sad. I'm very grateful for your review...the first. I don't do romance, but it was fun to try. Thanks again Angel. Susan
