Hello Mrs. Barbara:
Your story is very well written. Quite and intense day in Court for Anna.
This chapter brings a completely unexpected twist at the end (or is it just hepatitis B in the past?).
Thanks for sharing I look forward to reading more. This was amazing... can't wait for the next part..

Ah, we finally get to Troy's demons you have been teasing us with since the beginning - I didn't see that coming - a definite spanner in the works and a large one.
One small point - I think you have used 'refrain' when you probably meant 'restrain' - as far as I know, 'refrain' is an intransitive verb i.e. it cannot be used with an object.

WOW what a wrench in the story. I was hoping the judge would hit Brown with contempt, I found him contemptible. I wait for more.

Another well penned chapter. The dialog I thought good and natural sounding. Also, i'm impressed by your research the legal stuff all seems accurate to me.

This work has reached the exceptional level

Excellent dialogue!

I did not expect this twist at all.

The exchange in the courtroom was very real, to me. I felt all the tension and suspense.

I do appreciate that you take the time to write your notes. It shows that you are not writing just to entertain, but to educate as well.

Very good job.

Keep up the good work!

This chapter is a fine addition to the progress of your narrative. I liked especially your description of the give and take between the court room players, very realistic. It reminds me of the best I have read in legal-based novels over the last few years.

Is there anything more frustrating than a court case? Lawyers can twist everything that comes out of a witness' mouth and make it sound like something else. I get a little overwhelmed just reading about it. You did a good job of showing all the twists and turns that guarantee the confusion can only be untangled by the legal minds who created the games.
Well done, barb.
