You have penned the reality of denial well. Often a moment of clarity sneaks through only to be thrust back into the shadows as we close our eyes to it once again. Great read. joan marie

Interesting.
I liked this one, but so far as I'm concerned, you can never go wrong with an open-versed piece of poetry. My only real beef with this one is that it's not so much a poem as a poetic snippet off a much larger philosophical testament. Good, but not perfect.

Sue, this was a different writing to me, more of a personal one. I never understood what you were saying here, whether you meant you exposed your true feelings for a second, then pulled the curtains closed again. My bad.

Comment from Arad
sixteezkid. Nice effort.
The combination of the artwork and your poetry was especially appealing.
You've most certainly given me pause for thought though. How does what I deny give substance to my life? What do I deny? And how is that important to the rest of my life? Good questions all.
A compelling look into my soul. Thanks

I loved this poem!! I wouldn't change a thing. It really spoke to me. I'm wondering if the artwork is yours? The poem and the arwork have a great symmetry. I look forward to reading more of your work.

zocalo, your 6 star rating is so much appreciated! Means so much, also, when someone says a work speaks to them. Your most generous review is so appreciated. Thank you! With warmest regards, Sue (p.s. - I wish the artwork was mine - ha!)
