Good morning poet friend Sue.
Looks like you nailed the style of the Rictameter, and as well produced another good read. I enjoyed, Loyd :)

I enjoyed reading this simple and short poem. The message is a universal truth that is incontrovertible. I like the way you captured this truth in just a few well chosen words. kudos

Thank you for this wonderful tribute to Music! I love music of all kinds, and it's rare for me not to have something going, at least in the background. I appreciate the time you took writing this beautiful poem. It flows well, has good style and structure - everything anyone could ask for in a poem! Thank you for sharing this with us.

Being a bit of a dunce, I did not know what a Rictameter is. Now I not only know what one is, but I have yours as a perfect example of how it's done. This is a very clever (and true) piece of writing. Thanks for sharing it. All the best.

I'm a dunce, also. Never heard of a rictameter until I saw a fellow poet write in this form the other day. Right then and there, I knew that I wanted to give it a go. Love it! Can't wait to write more of them. Thank you so much for your great review and compliments! :-)) Sue

Sue - Don't you get tired of counting syllables? Music is the common bond among cultures. Very well said in this structured format. I liked it. Charlie

Charlie, I use my fingers up against my thumb to count syllables as I read them. I now have no fingerprints. The impossible has happened. :-)) - So glad you dug my hip poem, man. Ya in for a bit o' Zeppelin...Pearl Jam...? hee hee

i am right with you one this one--my husband has played the French Horn in the Palisades Symphony for 18 years, and when played well the instrument produces such sonorous tones. Music, as you said so well, "penetrates our hungry souls." I also enjoyed your musical alliteration of "c's."
