What a great thing, to have a love so lasting. This poem was wonderful, it flowed extremely well. I love it when I don't have to try hard to understand it. Keep up the marvelous work.

fictionwriter, I do write my sonnets pretty much in a contemporary manner. I don't know how to do them in the old fashioned way, but then again, perhaps I should just stick with what I know. Thank you very much for this most kind review and your compliments. With regards, Sue

Technically, your poem is great - good style, flow, etc. I envy you your talent. :) Emotionally, you've written a poem of the ages - love that endures. Thank you for sharing this with us.

jaeladarling, thank you for such a beautiful review. I do love a sonnet with it's wonderful rhythm. And a couplet to wrap it all up with. And thank you for your lovely compliments. Very much appreciated....Sue

I enjoyed your sonnet very much and found it to be a lovely tribute to long and loving marriage. (My husband and I have been married for 38 years; so, I can relate well to your experience.) I liked your strong rhymes immensely and thought the title and picture were the perfect accompaniments to your poem.

Joan, thanks for sharing your story of a 38 year marriage! YAY!! I would have liked that. But, no heartbreak now. Just kind of wish it could have been that way. Thank you very much for your lovely review and compliments. Most appreciated, Sue

This is a very beautiful poem about mature love. I was touched by the words and emotion. Your presentation was great with the photo and color scheme. I know what your message is because I am also in that point in my life. my husband and I finally have time for each other.

this is a really great one that shows what true love is really like and how it doesn't die away. i have a true love. she saved me from myself. Her name means a love to last forever to me. we are engaged and you know what my dream is complete. i have a family whom i treasure and have a person i would do anything for to put a continuous smile and be by her side all the way through life.

Well, I had this wonderful review written and then my computer decided that I no longer needed to be online, and lost the whole damn thing. So, I'll just sum it up. This is a wonderful poem about the strength, and longevity of love. Great job!

ROMANCE! One can almost breathe it in as they read your words, very nicely done Sue, da-dum's were bang on friend and I did enjoy the nice little touch with the artwork, when I see them alight in our house...it puts a cheeky grin on my face, ha ha.

Ahhh! So, when you see that candle lit, it's a "sign"...... It puts a cheeky grin on your face, because you ARE cheeky! But, you know that already. Yes! Romance! Something I know a thing or two about. Nothing like my doppelganger!! Thanks much for your lovely review (and your candle-light story)! :-)) Sue
