Nice images and presentation, Debi. Your notes are appreciated, and I'm glad Helen doesn't have the flu. You did a good job with the poem and viewpoints of the cats. Effective imagery and rhyme.

It is like they are children worrying about their parents. They don't want to cause any trouble or make their human sick. Each one comes up with an idea about how they will offer protection from getting sick. They also want to figure out what is troubling their humans and what they can do about that. Ruby had a good idea that all things were bad to catch. There are good things, too. A very good concluding verse. Very well done, and have a great 2025!!

Debi,

You always write some stellar poems. This cat one is cute and I like how these three cats are friends. The picture you chose is adorable.

I hope you have a wonderful New Year.

Great job my friend I hope you are doing well.

Well I'm glad to hear that Helen in fact is not under the weather with the flu!

Next, this trio of cats are a rowdy rambunctious bunch (say that three times fast). But they've learned their lesson it seems and have calmed down.

Your post is a nice way to start my day... with a smile.

Thanks for sharing.

Cheers, sis and a big meow to you...
John

Dear John, yes, all this over the misunderstanding of the word catch.

Have to love the cats in our lives, they live in their own life. We were never meant to truly understand them. As a Veterinarian, I treated, saved many, some said thank you, others said up yours.

Dear Rick, yes, it is one thing to be a veterinarian and another to do like I do in my silly cat poems and that is to let three silly cats misconstrue the English language. LOL.

This composition about cats Ruby, Patch, and Pepina in poetic format is a fun share here. I guess the word 'catch' or 'catchall phrase' comes to mind, with 13 uses of the word 'catch' or 'catching' or 'catches' or 'caught.' I guess you could even add a stanza another time and use the word 'catchup,' although perhaps more of us use 'ketchup' instead. Thanks for letting us 'catch up' with what the three funny cats are doing (I assume they don't start Skype up by themselves, ha ha.)

Gorgeous photo, cats are very clever, though mighty independent they do know where their home is, what a wonderful use of the word "catch" in its many meanings, very well written and presented****kahpot

Hi Santha, no, I do not have a cat but would love one. I am so sorry you aren't able to have one. And yes, sweetie, Wayne is coming home today or tomorrow. No operation as they think it will take care of it itself.

I love the fact that you always pay attention to detail so nicely.

Well, that's what we want "teachable" cats! I thought that picture was cute and was surprised that there were three cats but now I know that you included Pepina, too! So cute! And I liked the way you showed us how in English we use "catch" in lots of ways!
