I have read a few of the renga poems and want to let you know, I still have no clue about the mechanics of them, BUT I do know I enjoy reading them and your poem was fun to read. Thank you for that.

Oh, when winter comes along, snow falling, and reindeer prancing, it won't be long before the magical mystery of the big and jolly Santa will travel the world bringing joy. :-) Thanks for sharing.

Aha, you are very perceptive, Ric. I was hoping to be only slightly obvious, but you nailed me on this one. LOL. I love your reaction. Thank you so much for having some fun with me on this one. Love, Debi

Debi, this seems like something new for you or at least something I haven't seen much from you. I like it. :-) could the magic in the air be the fact that these reindeer belong to Santa? Good job.

They know and anticipate Santa's call. The sturdiest ones have been preparing all year for that special summons. Eating all the proper foods, drinking lots of water, shedding any unnecessary fat. They are fit and ready for the upcoming task. The young ones take note hoping to learn so that one day they might replace one or more of the elder ones who are ready to retire.

You've chosen two 7/7 lines that seem to snuggle nicely right after Debbie's 5/7/5. This collaborative form is enticing and I'm enjoying seeing so many participating and "finishing" Renga after Renga in the 5/7/5 then 7/7 form.
I read somewhere that traditional renga often involved collaborating with one hundred authors!
Your reference to magic brings forth the beauty of nature and the spirit of the Christmas season.
The image is delightful -- and HUGE!

Thanks so much, K. I appreciate it so very much. Do you think I should cut the picture down a bit? Maybe that would help. I have done that for others where I thought it was too big. Thanks so much for your very lovely review of my Renga. Love,, Debi

It's a tad overwhelming for the two lines, in my opinion. Maybe decreasing the size would balance it out?
-
Well I cut it down and twelve times I tried to put the new one in and it keeps coming back as the big one. That happens to me all the time. I will keep trying tho.
-
Grrr. I have had the same problem...
Maybe it is just to pretty to make smaller!

There are some goodies in your email and stupidity in your PM and you will haves more as the day goes on.

I saw my PM and joined you in your fun!
Thanks...
I'll go check my email now...

Just beautiful, my friend. You must be the 7-7 syllable poem of the Renga book. I have a thing for reindeers and think they're mystical creatures. Stunning imagery and perfect for the book of poems, my friend.
Sending you my best today as always and Blessings for Christmas!

Hi Sally, yes, mine is a 7-7 poem in the Renga poem book. The 5-7-5 alternates each time with the 7-7. Thanks for the lovely review and words, my dear friend.
Love, Debi

I like the picture you have chosen. It gives the reader a jumping off point for the mental image. I would love to see you continue this, it feels like you could go any of several directions. Nice write.

Hi Kayte, a Renga poem is only two lines of seven syllables each, so can't be expanded on. Thank you for reading it though.
