I have been on a mission declutter my lifelong collections. I guess it really is a mess no matter how neatly it's still a mess. This was a very cute poem that was full of hard truths. I enjoyed this. Gretchen

For some it is a mess, for some others it is just memories. Perhaps even precious memories. My wife is a big fan of the TV show Hoarders, I can bare stand to watch it, and have never watched a complete episode. My mother was a professional housekeeper at a major hotel. Making and not cleaning up a mess would have spelled a near death sentence for me.

I enjoyed this poem because I understand this poem. I tried to keep everything I ever owned and every receipt for purchases. I just recently shredded copies of my 2006 income tax returns.
Your poem beautifully and rhythmically describes the characteristics of a person who loves things they own. I like the term you used..."keeper." Also, I love the artwork. It pairs perfectly. Best wishes in the contest.
