Debi, dang it! I can't believe I missed National Hairball Awareness Day. I missed it because I was out throwing the fruitcake on Nothing Day while contemplating what the heck National 69 Day was all about. I think it relates to keeping your highway speed below 70MPH. Very fun, good research, and well done. Terry.

Haha! I did have you in mind when I decided to use hairball one. I thought you might get a kick out of it. It was amazing how many versions of these things there are and they don't all coincide on the same days so most have to be people just making them up as they go. Of course the National 69 day is a very popular one with numerous websites. And Silly boy, we both know it isn't about the speed limit. It has to be there for those like me who are 69 years old. Right?? Haha!

Thanks for the hilarious review, my awesome friend. I love to laugh with you!!

Beautiful, beautiful, Sweet Debi,
What a clever and upbeat way to start this Sunday, and this week. I found it really fun to see what all those specialty days are and to find your interpretations of them.

Love it, and love you,
Rhonda

Well dear one, our girl almost got away without her flowers, but thankfully I had talked to a woman who had organized it and she went looking for the flowers and caught them on their way out. Right as they were getting in the car. So all is well that ends well. Thanks for the wonderful idea and for being such a good friend to both Sally and me.

Thanks for the awesome review, comments and fun stars for this one pretty lady. I am looking and watching my pms very close to see when you post next. I don't want to miss you. Thanks again. Love ya lots, dear friend.

How are you guys doing? And would you like me to do that? I just want to do something to help you cause I feel so helpless right now. But it goes without saying that you are in my prayers. Did you get my email?

    Hi Debi,
I replied to your message on gmail. I haven't been on for a couple of days. It's been, as you can imagine, taxing. We were getting her set up with hospice, for a long haul. However, once she knew it was time for hospice, she quit fighting. We knew it was coming, but she went so quickly, we weren't prepared. One of her daughters was on a cruise and had to make a quick retreat back here. She was the only one of the six kids who didn't make it in time to tell her Mama goodbye. Thank you so much,
    Love you!!

Oh Gosh, once again I am so sorry and I am writing the poem right now. I should have it posted either this afternoon or late tonight, as we have company coming at 3. So I will get back to it and talk to you later. Please take care of yourself. Love you!!

I posted a poem so would you look at it and let me know if you want anything changed, thanks?
reply by davisr (Rhonda) on 17-Apr-2024
It was a beautiful poem, Debi, and I appreciate it so much. I'm sorry I'm just now getting to it. There are so many relatives stopping by with lots of food brought. I'm pretty sure I've gained tons of weight, but at least we know she was loved!
I suggested a video to add. It's called Scars in Heaven by Casting Crowns.
Thank you and the others who commented for your love, prayers and support.
    Love you lady,
    Rhonda

Hi Debi. Love the picture. It is beautiful. This was a great idea. I didn't know there were all these national days. You cheered me up. I was feeling down also after I listened to the news. Thank you for lifting my spirits. Very well written. Great job

Awe, Brenda, thank you for the fun review and comments. I could have added a hundred more easily but I had to draw the line somewhere. I was afraid of people getting tired of hearing anymore. Thanks for having some fun with me on this one, my dear friend. Love, Debi

Hi Debbie,
It is amusing to see all the things that are celebrated daily. At the end of our company newsletter is a calendar that shows all the daily things you can celebrate. I like National Middle Child Day since I am a middle child.
I like the internal rhyme instead of end rhyme. And I like the colorful fonts.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Enjoy your day.
Joan

I wonder if "National Day" is a site I followed for about a year. Every day was a celebration of something, and you could tell they were really reaching on some of the silliness of the choices.

There's a "hairball" day for cat lovers? Cat lovers do not enjoy hairballs!

So, what are we celebrating today? I think we're celebrating Debi's silly poem that informs us of some of the silly days we can celebrate. I bet reviewing the site and writing this lifted your day though, didn't it?

Now, about my outdated VCR . . .

Love ya, sis. Thanks for sharing:-)

Hi Sis, I got these from a bunch of sites, but after seeing that Iran had bombed Israel, I had to shut it out. I take things to heart so easily and stress is bad for me It was just about being silly, needing to laugh and say, "You gotta be kidding me. Speaking of, hairball?

Hey, I didn't start these. LOL ... So at least it got me here laughing about our outdated VCRs. hahaha! love ya too, Sweetie and thanks for the fun review and comments. Just what the doc ordered!!

Ooh, the faeries are celebrating toad stool day! You blokes have an answer for every day. We don't have this nonsense, but, Oz is starting to take on the American way of celebrating nothing, just make it up as you go along.
Oz is stuffy. America puffy. Loved your presentation. You have taken much time looking up all the nonsensical days, amongst them, the real National celebrations. K xx

Hi Kace, I thank you for the fun review and comments. I could have added a hundred more easily but I had to draw the line somewhere. I was afraid of people getting tired of hearing anymore. LOL, and I love that almost everyone had other ones to offer. So they are truly widespread, worldwide.

Thanks for having some fun with me on this one, my dear friend. Love, Debi

Debi, I really liked this poem. I thought the illustration and colourful text certainly offered a freshness and light and your poem provides a nice alternative to the morning news which is enough to put anyone off their coffee and cornflakes at the best of times!

Nowadays there are so many national days for this and that, that it's hard to keep up, so you give an amusing slant to this. I particularly like the thought of national hairball day (just to keep cat owners on their toes) and middle child day (hooray for me and my sister!). To have a national nothing day, to do nothing in particular should be quite relaxing for many people and as for world peace day - if only we could have more days devoted to this.

It's things like this that make me sure that AI will never be able to duplicate the zany humour of the human mind. To add another couple, Victoria has a public holiday for Melbourne Cup Day, when the whole of Australia is brought to a standstill. Not to be outdone, South Australia proclaimed an Adelaide Cup Day to honour a horse race that few people would otherwise have heard of!

Thanks so much, Tony for the very kind review and comments for my silly poem. It is so very nice to know there are so many here that also don't believe in Al. I have someone who keeps reviewing me with it and I am not happy about it. I just keep asking him not to do it anymore.

This was a lot of fun but it was amazing how much farther I could have kept going with it. I love your fun ideas and comments too. Thanks again, dear friend for your fun review. Love, Debi
