Thank you so very much, Helen. The minute poem was perfect for saying how I feel. He was there with me throughout my illness, and losing my dear brother. He held me together. Thank you, dear friend. Love you lots. Sandra xxx

I'm not sure what a minute poem is, but this must be an excellent example because I really enjoyed reading it. It started sad, built up to acceptance and hope, and finished with the beautiful realisation that God will never leave us.
Well done, and good luck in the competition.

I will explain it when we have a chat on Skype. I got it seriously wrong the first time I tried to write one. Thank you, my dear friend, for this lovely review. And thank you for the golden star and good luck wishes! Love you lots, my friend. Sandra xx

What a beautiful minute poem, and best of luck with the moving entry. Lovely picture to accompany it. The rhyme and flow are so smooth. Each stanza presents a different stage in the narrator's life. The first indicates despair; the second, the realization that Christ can feel the pain; and finally, the comfort that knowledge brings. Positive and comforting thought in the poem. Lovely work, as usual. judi

Thank you so much, dear Judi. I have good reason to write this one. I was so down when my youngest brother died, then I became so ill I had to spend a few weeks in hospital, (all my brothers fault!!) I didn't know how to cope with all the stress. Of course, the answer was plain and simple, as my poem has said. We can rely on Him to help. Thank you, my dear friend, for the lovely review. Warmest hugs, Sandra xx

Jesus is always by our side. I'm so glad that we know Him as our Savior, the Almighty. I know I could never live without Him. I love your poem. You also treasure the moments with Him. I just got done doing a Bible Study on Proverbs 31. It was a wakening chapter!

I'm glad you liked my 'minute' poem, Rosemary. We all need Him in our lives, moreso these days where it seems to me, the devil is taking over so many leaders and taking them into war against the innocents Thank you, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Aw thank you, Debbie, for this lovely review. I think I needed Him beside me more after my brother died, and the following illness that kept me in hospital through December until a few days in January. He doesn't fail us at all, all we need is to ask. Thank you, my friend. Sandra xx

I may not be religious, and truth be told I don't believe in it, but I understand and believe in Faith and I thought this was a beautiful poem. Very well written.

I think there are many who have the same beliefs that you do, Desdinova. And they live their lives in goodness and faith. Thank you, dear friend, for your lovely review. I really appreciate it. Love and hugs, Sandra xx

You, my friend, have no boundaries. You share your words and wisdom in ways I find difficult to comprehend. I have no idea what a minute poem is.....but what I do know are the words you shared and the blessed meaning they have to me. I must believe that he walks by your side and mine, leading us through our sorrows.
Beautiful!
Smiles and hugs, Carol

A minute poem is exactly that. There are 20 syllables in each of the 3 stanzas, 3 x 20 is 60. The amount of seconds in a minute. It can't be longer, or shorter. The first line has 8 syllables (seconds) the following three lines each have 4 syllables. So: 8,4,4,4; 8,4,4,4; 8,4,4,4 syllables. 60 syllables - 1 minute. Rhyme, aabb ccdd eeff
And there you have it. The first one I wrote I had now idea what a minute poem was, and I wrote 4 stanzas. It was disqualified, and I posted it as a 'One Minute Twenty Seconds' poem!! :))
Thank you for the lovely review, my sweet friend. I'm so pleased you enjoyed it. Love and hugs, Sandra xx
