We never forget our Moms. I didn't have to share mine with anyone but it sounds like your mother had enought love to go around. You always think of her on her birthday. Today is my twins birthday.

You are making me cry with this beautiful poem for your mother. How sweet you are and to dedicate a poem to her. I always remember my mother on special days and especially at Christmas. How wonderful she is born this month and has remained close to your heart. A special blessing for Christmas. I'm so sorry she left so young.

So beautifully illustrated and presented for your mom in tribute. My friend. Perfect in every aspect.

Extra love and hugs across the miles too, and my very best today as always.

Debi, after all the wonderful birthday poems you have written for so many this year, and now we come to the best-written one of all. Why are we not surprised? The answer is: we know you write from the heart. Terry.

Aww. Best wishes to you at this time of remembering. You have given a sweet voice to your memories with your typically accomplished verse. My mum would have been 100 in October!

Hi John, wow, 100, now that is a true milestone! Isn?t it strange to be the age that we thought they would seem old. My mom never made it to that age, but now I sure have. I only have one more year in my sixties so that seems strange.
I thank you so very much, as I appreciate your kind words. Thank you, my dear friend, and have a very Merry Christmas! Lotsa Love, DebI

My mother and I had our moments. It took me a while to understand the courage it took to allow her only son to go as far away from home for the first time to a place as far away as Okinawa, Japan. She was over protective at times when I returned home at the end of my four year service term. She would anger me by always sayin "Be careful baby." I would angrily swear, "I am not a damn baby!" She would of course counter with, "You are my baby."
Man, saying goodbye to her was one of the hardest things I ever had to do. Saying goodbye to my oldest daughter was the second. Thank you for opening up your painful suitcase of sorrow and to share with us your precious memories.

I guess the time comes when we have to say a reluctant goodbye to someone we love more than anything. I thank God that he gives us the strength to do so.

I'm sure many people on here will be able to relate to your very lovely, well written piece of poetry Debbie. Last Sunday was the anniversary of losing both of my parents though two years apart. My heart goes out to you!

I could kill myself, if God allowed it, for all the times I broke my mother's heart, and for not heeding her wise words. Sorry to be talking about myself, but your words bring back such memories. I was there shortly before she died. In those last moments, I told her how sorry I was and that I loved her. I asked if she loved me. She said, "I loved you ever since you were born."

So far, I've been thinking about both of my parents a lot this fall. This poem was beautiful and I felt the love and yearning to see her again. Even if it is just for a few moments. Nothing will ever come close to a mother or fathers love. Beautifully written. Gretchen

Gretchen, it?s hard not to think about our parents when little by little we get closer to the age they were at one time. I was sure that I would die the same age of my mom at 59 like she was, but God had other plans.

I thank you so very much for the very sweet comments for my mom?s poem. I appreciate your caring words. Thank you, my dear friend, and have a very Merry Christmas! Lotsa Love, DebI
