What a family! You're all characters, that's for sure! I don't think you'll ever need worry about conversation drying up because, when you run out of facts, you'll just make the rest up! As ever, flawlessly written (I can never find errors in your work). You simply know how to entertain in spades from very small beginnings. Thanks for sharing, Jim! Debbie

Yes, there was hardly a dull moment around our house. Lots of laughs and good-natured teasing. Linds seemed to be the brunt of most of our teasing because she responded so well to it. Always gave us the reaction we hoped for.

Thanks for your great review, Debbie.

Way to go, Dad! Start with SOMETHING... (cheese is nice) --and watch the conversation take the family on an unexpected journey with enough twists and turns as that roller coaster! (Extra points for the maggoty ick factor...kids love that kind of thing!)

I found this thoroughly enjoyable, and I need to step up my game. Our dinner conversations are convoluted...but not nearly as humorous!

Something--anything just to get the ball rolling, and it usually took off from there. A lot of inane conversations at the dinner table, but it was fun.

Thanks for your great review, Karenina.

My dad was the best at this, as well!

    What great memories...

Lol I always find it amazing how conversations start with one subject and then they seem to morph into completely different subjects. I also have a supersensitive stomach lol. No big dippers for me.

Some of the most fun conversations go that way, especially when everyone contributes. I have fond memories of those silly times we used to have.
