A sweet poem of tribute. Beautifully composed. Full of feeling encapsulated in assured rhyme and rhythm that just says all that needs to be said. Well done Helen. (I hope you liked the well deserved tribute in the Secret Admirer Contest.)

Thank you so much, John!
I happened quite unexpectedly on that contest and now am so curious as to who the author was.
Hugs!

I give Sandra and Ian's mother a lot of credit for fostering the bond of the entire family around Ian and his special needs. A sibling is a part of our childhood, and I have found that losing one (I've lost two) is like losing a part of a special past that only you share.
A beautiful Kyrielle, Helen. So nice of you to share your talent with Sandra in her time of need.

So true, Pam. You understand completely.
And I goofed when I said kyrielle - I was thinking Latin (Lord = kyrie) but the poetic form is a Minute poem. Maybe I need to change vitamins? Lol. Thanks so much! Hugs!

This must have been very hard to write. We all love and admire Sandra very much, but it is difficult to imagine her feelings at this moment. In Christian terms, we hope her brother is now with the Lord, his suffering ended. But bereavement, even in such circumstances, involves a great deal of grief and loss.
So, we pray for Sandra to be strengthened by the Lord in all the best memories of Ian, which she has, to keep for ever.
Love to you and to Sandra. From Paul

Helen,
Not until your post came in my message box was I aware of Sandra's brothers passing.
Your poem as always, magnificent! Words near and dear to your heart will touch hers when she read them.
Your notes then tells it like it is in daily life.
Than you for sharing. I will add to the book in a few days.
As always...

A beautiful poem for Sandra which will certainly bring her comfort. If is always distressing to lose a family member to whom one is close. The close bond of love will always remain, but the greater the love the greater the pain. Thanks for sharing. I will join my prayer with yours for her comfort.
