There was a group of us at church who got together one year and decided to do a God's beauty group. Every day we would write down how God's beauty was spotted. Be it a cloud, a smile, a plate of food. We all realized that when you start looking for beauty, it is easier to find . Great poem. Gretchen

Thank you Gretchen for this thoughtful and encouraging review. I'm so pleased that this one resonated with you. I love your idea of writing down when you spot God's beauty. You're right, when you look for it, you find it and it does get easier to find.

Hi Janet.
A wonderful poem. Autumn is my favorite season. The change from summers heat to crisp fresh air transforms one's body and soul.
Great post. Thank you for sharing.
Have a great Tuesday.

This is my favorite time of year and unfortunately usual the shortest season. Your visuals are grand and so is the current condition of our beautiful world. XO Blessings. B

I enjoyed this beautiful piece of well written, vividly descriptive poetry very much. Autumn is a scene of such beauty with all the different colours and smells. My favourite season. Well done.

Though Autumn is much the same every year, there is a different kind of beauty to behold almost every day, a "grandeur to this wonderland." The Speaker appears to have learned to overcome her fears as Winter approaches. The message--Live for the moment--does come through.

Good job. I don't have any suggestions as far as technical writing goes. There was a bit of a twist as the poem moved from being about nature to about internal life thoughts as well. I think I like it better as just being about nature, but that doesn't change the quality of your words.

It is easy to see the beauty you have written about in this lovely poem Janet. You are indeed one of the most talented poets on this site. There are poets and there are wannabees and you my dear can be classified as a poet. Well done. Nancy:)

Yes - a poem celebrating Autumn and its many facets, sights and sounds and color while reminding the reader that 'Now winter nights are beckoning,' and though we may be carrying heavy burdens there is much beauty in the world.

Hi Janet,
Oh how I adore this lovely poem...Living in Spain we do not have Autumn
as it is in other areas... We live close to the sea...
I too love the colors of autumn and miss it...
I love your use of metaphors...

Barcelona and then along the coast on a ship ending up in Portugal.
When we were there years ago, we landed in Madrid and traveled south to the Mediterranean stopping in several places. Loved it.
