I'm so very sorry for the loss of your friend, dear poetess. Please accept my condolences. Nothing's quite like your own rainbow though, and one shaped like as ball. I'm not sure I've ever seen or heard of this phenomena. I think it was a word of comfort and hope from the God who holds all of us in His hands. Beautifully written and illustrated for the emotions contest.
Sending you my best today as always, and my very best wishes for the upcoming contest.

Sally, you are so kind. I wasn't going to write about this or tell anyone, but then saw this contest and knew I needed to get it out. Somehow it always helps to write about things bothering us. Thanks for the honor of your six stars too!!

You have penned a good poem for this contest. Your opening stanza is very strong. The picture is exceptional, it is the type of photo that wins contests. Using the picture as inspiration for the poem is very well done. Terry.

Wow what a stunning "sunbow". This reminds me of a time when I was looking after a lady who was dying and as she died a rainbow shone on to her through the window. It was a very special, spiritual moment for her family. Without the picture I could still visualise the "Sunbow" as you have described it well here,
"A lovely ball of colored glow
Like a round pastel butterfly"
Good luck.

When our loved ones pass on, I think they do leave us signs to tell us they're at peace. This is a heart warming and emotive poem that really pulled me in. I could really feel what you were feeling. Good luck in the contest.

I really like how you describe the moment in the car when you and your husband see the sunbow. Your emotions at the loss of your friend comes through really well as does the feeling of inner peace brought by the sunbow. I think you have a good entry and wish you the best.

That was lovely! I've not seen a Sun Bow like the one in your picture, but it truly is a miracle, and just when you all needed one. It showed you that God was there, and still caring. I really enjoyed reading your poem, and you used the prompt well. Good luck in the contest. :)) Sandra xx

Lovely heartfelt poem... I relate to it because when my mother died we saw butterflies (she loved butterflies) all the time and knew she was still around.
Wishing you the very best of luck in the contest,

On Lisa, my mother loved butterflies ~ so the week after she died, my friends talked me into going golfing. There was a butterfly that followed me only for all nice holes. it kept circling around my head. My mom was very young when the died so it was so hard on me.it was so Young,

No perhaps about it, this was a miracle as nothing is random.
Sweet spot:
But then I knew God's in control
Reminded me He won't forsake
Great piece of work. Thank you for sharing.
