I am sorry for your loss and it is so very sad losing our friends which seems to be more common place as we age and everything changes, a well rhymed and metered poem, fine sentiments here, love Dolly x x x

Thanks, Christine. You are right. At our age, our friends seem to be passing away at a rapid rate.

Memories are so very important as we can relive good times.
The photo of the two of you is precious... I love it.
This is a lovely rhyming poem about friendship and should do very well in the Childhood Friendship competition.
I wish you the best of luck,

What a wonderful tribute to your friend! I don't think there is anything more important than the love we take with us when we die, and your friend surely knew he was loved. Beautiful! Best of luck in the contest.

I love to hear all the activities and action you and best friend did in childhood days.
Activities include Climbing Mount Battle, daydream, hide and seek, kicking the can etc.
I also like the grown up time..,

This is an excellent contest entry for the Childhood Friendship prompt!!
The imagery you created through sensory words paints a picture of two friends playing in the summertime.
The photo selected provides an authentic touch.
Good luck in the contest;)

very nice tribute to your friend Lee. Time is so fleeting, there is no way to define it. Your picture of the dolphins reminded me of one very much like it existing in a round-a-bout in Albufeira, Portugal. Nice poem.

I'm sorry for your loss. I believe it is always a good way to grieve, when we write, especially in poem style. I think writing is one of the best ways for expression. I like your poem. Keep writing.

Thanks, Bobby Jo. I always write a poem when a close friend or family member dies. Many times I read that poem at their funeral service.

I realized I could write poems when my mom died and I wrote a poem that a friend read at her funeral. When my dad died, I read the poem I wrote at his funeral.
