I was on the site returning messages when I got a message that I got an award for my latest post! Your story. I wrote Tom right away, instantly. I went online explaining I did not write this and I could not accept an award I did not earn. Can we all work together and find out who it belongs to, etc. I thought it happened to just me! Sharon read my post"The Big Mistake" and wrote me that everyone has been blasted. During the cleansing my all time best award for "Moving Day" was snatched up, my icon was removed my edit to my profile was removed. It has been a day. Tom says it will all be returned. Oh, and my toilet cracked and flooded the bathroom. They put in a new toilet just now. It has been a day. How was yours? haha

Just so you know, the ATB isn't an award. It is what we get when you get over 25 reviews. Yet its still awesome. I get one for every post i do.

And Haha! I thought you were joking when you asked how my day went since I am responsible for everything except your toilet.
But then l realized you maybe did not read the authors notes. Well the fact that everything that went wrong last night was because of me, that every single post ever done here by everyone disappeared and this poem took its place, everything on the homepage, voting booth, you name it. Nothing existed except this poem. 'And everyone was frantic! The thought of losing hundreds of posts from our portfolios was terrifying. But to know my post was responsible, was earth shattering to me. I was prepared to hide away and never show my face again. If they wouldn't have fixed it it, I don't know what I'd done. I was a nervous wreck all night and morning. I knew I had not done anything wrong and that it wasn't my fault, but it was still my poem that by the way was only done with all w words was the cause of it all. Did you read it? LOL most popular post ever! Haha! Isn't that horrible?

Life is weird is it not? You are not responsible for zippy. We all wrote stuff yesterday. Your poem was hysterical, lovely, truly one of a kind fantastic.
But, I would probably be the same way, We women of a certain age were raised to be the apoligizers. we all still love you sweetie. Karen

Well, that sucks! That you couldn't leave it in the contest when it wasn't your fault. This is such a witty, winsome work and I'm sure everyone felt secretly very happy to own it as their own, however briefly. Do you know that I read over this earlier when you mentioned it in your answer to my review for another of your poems and explained what had happened -- and the point is ... I reread it just now and for the first time realized every single word in it began with a W. Wha' wa well? And it made sense and was brilliantly clever. How dare Tom remove it from everyone's portfolio! Borrowed fame can be sweet!

Love ya, dear Debi.

Jay

Hahaha, I'm not sure about how happy anyone was since it was in every single post they ever wrote. You didn't have one of your own when this happened. The words for every single one were from this. So I understand the horror that everyone was feeling, and yet I think I was the most horrified of all, seeing what it had done to all my friends. I think I may have gone and hid somewhere on the other ends of the earth if this wouldn't have gotten fixed. However it did, and I am thrilled that all's well that ends well. I guess I realize now that it is time to start keeping an extra copy of all finished work, that having the premier shield maybe isn't enough. Thank God for another chance. Thanks my dear friend for reviewing this and your always kind words. You have no clue how much it always means to me.
I asked Terry to send you the screenshots.

Warmest wishes when wacky wedding westored! (Now in Bugs Bunny mode! Or perhaps Elmer Fudd.)
No,of course it wasn't your fault - but if it had been, that was the most successful promotion in the whole of recorded history!
I hardly want to review this, but it is brilliantly successful - and at the end I only have one query - did they get married or not? Sounds like she was better off ditching the wascal!
I had one six left - just for you!

Wots of wove fwom Paul

Oooh Paul, I wove you too. I don't know what means more: the kindness of reassuring that I shouldn't be taking it so hard, or the wonderful review and stars. Actually is the friendship that once again tells me how blessed I am. Thank you a million times over my sweet friend. And to answer your question, she did marry that wascal after she woke with wisdom weighted for Wayne's welfare. Or something like that. Thanks so much as you just made my day, my sweet and wonderful friend. I just love you to pieces!!

This is an amazing story with every word beginning with W. Great job! I'm so sorry the system took over your poem, and I'm also sorry you couldn't enter it for the contest. It is surely a winner. I admire your great attitude about the whole situation. Blessings. Carol

Technology is great, when it works. So sorry it didn't this time. I think you deserve the win just for the hassle! LOL.

Hi Debi,
This is a funny poem about how a bride reacts to a overdrunk groom. Why was there a wrench at the wedding. And I agree with Wendy about the whiskey. It surely did follow the alliteration celebration with all the 'w' sounds. It might have done very well. Is this why the site was blocked for maintenance early this morning?
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Have a great rest of the day.
Joan

This is so well done. I'm sorry that it will not be in the contest. It would have been hard to beat. Not only did every word begin with the same letter as required, but it also makes sense and is a humorous tale to boot.
Thank you for posting it anyway and letting us enjoy it.

I wouldn't blame it on your poem. Computer gremlins are most likely to blame.

I'm not sure what happened before the post aired, but I have to say this is a fantastic write. It was fun to read. You have done it your usual way, and with that, none of us can go wrong! I loved it! Best, JohnC

Hi John, this poem took over and replaced every one of your posts, as well as everyone else's. It was also the only post in the voting booth, homepage and anywhere and everywhere in the site.

I was wondering who wrote this, I have previously reviewed this under someone else's name, in fact whatever I opened, and all my previous posts.had this particular work on, it. But well done Debi, some marvellous alliteration, language and rhyming to this work, well done, blessings Roy

Roy, yes, last night this was a nightmare and as I watched it unfold in every post, every voting booth and saw it take over all the portfolios, knowing it was mine doing it, I was sick. The thought of losing my own portfolio was bad enough, but my friends too was devastating. And at the time we weren't sure it could be fixed. So I did some big time gratitude prayers today.

It was never your fault Debi, I went to bed to bed with Wendy and Wayne, and voila, it was fixed, praise God, well done

I was up at 4:30 a.m. and went to FS. Alas, a review for my latest post! I clicked on it and saw that my post, "Wendy and Wayne's Wacky Wedding," had been given six stars. Great, I said! What in the world is this?

LOL, I had my own freak-out, Debi, thinking my entire library would be wiped out, or at least my last post. Fortunately, things turned out well. Not sure how that happened; I had hoped Tom would post something about it on the opening page to let us know not to worry.

One more thing. I was telling my husband what happened and I said, "You know, I think this is Debi's work - I recognize her style - and if some piece of work other than mine is going to take over my site and the whole page, you can't get much better than this poem." True story. I ended up having a good laugh about it - loved all the W's - and I think it would have done well in the contest.

I hope you're laughing about it too, perhaps over a "wretched whiskey".

Never a dull moment here at FanStory:-)

xoxo
Pam

Awww Pam, that is so sweet of you and you made my week. I am still thinking about the horror of it, of what if all my friends had a portfolio of this and what if it wasn't fixed, I'd had a hard time living with myself, even if it
wasn't my fault. I think by tomorrow I might be able to laugh.
Thanks Sweetie for the kind comments, for making me feel much better and for the smile.
