You can always dream you're on the French riviera playing the pochette. Heck, it's your dream!
I enjoyed your entry for the musical instruments entry.
Best of luck in the contest,
Cheers,
John

You are right. It is my dream and I can be on the French Rivera if I want. So glad you enjoyed it John.

They are similar but one is more easily toted! All instruments are beautiful to me. I just love them all. I'm sure you play them like a poem, or is that a fiddle? Delightful poem of the black and white keys you love. Sending you a big hug and blessings for the contest.

Thank you Sal for this delightful review. Definitely the violin or fiddle are more easily toted around than my piano. I love the music you share with your poems. I?ve never learned to do that.
Blessings my friend.
Have a great week.

This is a well written poem written by a musician, as evidenced by your musical terminology describing the sounds of a variety of instruments. I am a pianist who served as a church musician for fifteen years, but never had a room large enough to accommodate a baby grand. The imagery in your poem allows the readers to almost hear the instruments sing. Best wishes in the contest.

Thank you for this lovely review. I played the oboe and glockenspiel in high school along with the piano which was my favorite. There?s not much call for a glockenspiel outside a high school band. (Smile). I have a sweet Story and Clark piano but "baby grand" fit my rhyme. Thanks again and good wishes to you as well.
Janet.

I loved the little history in the author's note at the end. I'm personally partial to the Piano, but I also like ukuleles and fiddles. I loved the rhyming scheme and flow of the whole piece as well. Good luck in your contest! ~Heather

Well, your sweet baby grand has keys that hammer on strings! So maybe it's still a stringed instrument after all. So glad you shared about your love of music in this poem. Best wishes in the contest!

Thank for your thoughtful review. You are right, the piano does have strings so maybe that too is why I love it.
