What a lovely poem to commemorate the complexities of life. One moment joy and excitement, and the next moment one of fear and trepidation. Yours was a cautionary tale that reminded us that things can so easily and quickly slip away. I'm thankful you still have two.

You did such a great job telling a story about losing two boys and then gaining them back. I'm so happy for you. Your rhyming scheme worked well here I found at least one alliteration.

You deserve it. It reminded me of an incident in Germany. My son was told to play with a neighbor of my nephews. My son was around 14 then, What I heard they went to swim in the lake, I was so worried. My son can swim but I didn't know how far he could. He was fine and could swim further than I thought.

I almost can't comment on this story, it fills me with such imagined pain, the fear every mother suffers of such a possibility. You succeed in taking us to that place. It is that well written. I am relieved it ended as it did. Good luck in the contest.
