Ann sounds a lot like you a successful business with a great final outcome. She definitely needs an ovation for the proud work she has done. I hope the future is wonderfully certain for her and for her children. The super things she has accomplished and the love of her life happening not once but twice say she must be a loving person. Thanks for sharing and I will look into her portfolio and read more when I can.

I enjoyed reading your story about your friend Ann. I think I have read most of the stories you mentioned. And they do tell a story about growing up in the South as well as about the character of the lady. The ovation is great! Thanks for sharing her story. Sarah

Love how you told her story. Quite the human interest story. Definitely liked how each story gave us a glimpse of a young girl moving through life, each phase adding dimension to her. Selling a business is a huge responsibility. It usury affects a whole community. Great job. And to Ann, congratulations. Gretchen

Terry,
I can't leave this post unreviewed. It gets a six for both the writing and the subject matter. I discovered Ann's writing shortly after I joined FanStory almost two years ago. I was immediately enthralled with both the skill of her writing and the subject matter, as well as her joy for life, determination and unmistakable love for God's Creation, with all the wrinkles and warts as well the smooth parts. I hold her in high esteem both as an individual and as a writer. I am sure her underlying messages have touched and warmed the souls of many.

Sue, thank you for the six stars. I do know they are for Ann, and I must admit I hoped you would write a review. Thank you, Terry.

I'm a little confused, because you asked me to stop reviewing your work after I was apparently too harsh. The writing also deserves a six, as I stated. You led us into her story smoothly and carried us through with interest. Such things could be boring recitations. But yours is not.

How gracious of you in bringing Ann to the forefront with this wonderful tribute. For those who do not know Ann, you introduced them to this beautiful, talented and creative writer. For those who do know her and her writing, you reinforced what they knew about her all along.
Beautiful job.
Best wishes,
Mary

Sensational, Terry! You have set the reflections of Ann's life perfectly, and I'm sure she will be elated with the results, but I'm sure that was not your reason for solidifying her life for us. She seems a wonderful person and is a fixture here on FS. You have a way of gravitating to goodness, Terry, and never seem to miss the mark with your carefree words of admiration! I loved this piece, my friend. Best, JohnC

John, thank you for the six stars. You know it is pretty easy to write a good story when you got something to work with! Terry.
Comment from Tom Horonzy
Meeting new people is seemingly an adventure to a newly recruited tar. Excited to dock at a new port but unaware of the risks therein as he goes ashore for liberty. Will his path lead to terrific views, or some dingy bar in a darkened alley where five hours later he is laying in the street sodden with mud. Returning to the ship, he thinks Roma was not what i hoped it would be. Making sense?

Hi there,
Yep, there's a lot of interesting folk here on the site and many stories which could be told. Success is a funny thing, and one of perspective. Folk are different and some like to keep things more private others will shout it from the rooftops.
Nice piece
So far, it is taken almost eighty years. - should use 'has' rather than 'is'.
from scratch and then scratched out - maybe use a different word here rather than the near repetition.

Garth, Thank you for reading and your input on the edits, but I do like scratch and scratched out. The visual of starting from nothing and getting 4,000 clients is amazing. Thanks, Terry.

I must get to know Ann, she sounds like a very determines lady, not put off by set-backs. She has had an incredible life, and there is still more to come. This is a lovely tribute to her, Terry, and I'm sure she will be delighted. You certainly write about some very interesting people, and how lovely it is to know them all on FS. Well done, my friend. :)) Sandra xx
