Confusing, intriguing, mysterious - I guess that's what it's meant to be and why it kept me reading, all the way through. The 'gem of southern dialect' is definitely an added bonus of rare value.

Much obliged, Whitewave. I'm just gratified you followed it all the way to the review box.

Jay, nice twist in the plot and revelation of shocking secrets right before the reporter is supposed to leave town. The hanging question is what is going to happen to that info in the reporter's hands, and why would Fanny actually reveal those long-held secrets. Nice scene.

Thank you, Tim, for weighing in on this play that is so ready to go to bed. I'm glad that I'd stockpiled all but the last scene -- the reason being I tested positive for Covid three days ago and it's hitting these old bones mighty hard. No energy to read ... which means no $$ to promote. Consequently, I'm afraid people will lose that connection with the previous flow and carry it forward since I'm posting it about every other week. Anyway, I'm gratified that you found this and took the time to read it. Your words mean a lot to me.
