Hi Al,
And so we wait on God. What will He do? He doesn't work the same way we do. We supply Ukraine with weapons, food, medical supplies, clothing, water so that they can continue the fight. Russians die. Ukrainians die. Cities and towns are demolished, some into complete rubble. God will tackle this war differently. I'm not sure how yet. Although, I am proud of Poland and other countries accepting refugees. I am proud of Ukraine's president and citizens. They are showing us what freedom means to them.
I think of the apostle, Paul. Before he (as Saul) was struck blind on the road to Damascus, he persecuted Christians wherever he could find them. You might even compare him to Putin, in a way. He was evil. Then Christ struck him blind. He had to be led into the city, blinded for three days, convicted of his sin against God. After his radical conversion, he was known as Paul. He became a champion of the Gospel, writing many books of the New Testament... including Romans, 1 and 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 and 2 Thessalonians, 1 and 2 Timothy, Titus, and Philemon. He died a martyr, likely by beheading, since he avoided crucifixion being a Roman citizen.
Now, I'm not saying Putin will be struck blind and converted to Christianity. But I'm just saying that God works differently than man. I don't know what He will do. But I pray He will perform a miracle and stop this senseless war, as you suggest in your four-line poem of 1-5-5-9 syllables. Good Luck in the contest!

Your last line is the feeling of many, God will stop wars anywhere. Excellent faith based four line poem that reflects the feelings and power of God in today's world. Excellent use of words.

This is an excellent poem and entry for the contest.
We all hope God stops the wars, but he gave mankind that ability
and man simply isn't up to the task.
Maybe things will change.
Best wishes.

'War and God', is short, succinct and very much to the point. Woven through these short lines are the golden threads of truth. Good luck with the contest. Please let me know how you get on?

-Nice artwork and presentation, Al Creator.
-This is a little change for you, and you
did a good job.
-The syllable count is good, along with the topic.
-Good descriptive words, and a very good
prayer to end the poem.
-I agree with your prayer and hope wars
can end, too.
-Good luck in the contest.

Fear not. At the appointed time the great war of God's day. the Bible says Armageddon is the symbolic place of "the war of the great day of God the Almighty," his war against the wicked.â??--Revelation 16:14, 16. This war will end all wars for all time. Why? Because this war will rid the earth of all causes of war, hatred, greed, jealousy, etc.

An excellent message, I hope you are right. It is easy to struggle about how God can let senseless war and violence become commonplace in the world. The is no easy answer. Good luck in the contest, good entry.

I 100% agree with a sentiment of your poem, however, I was instructed that we are not supposed to comment on the poems topic.
Your syllable count is perfect.
There is an issue with the grammar in the second and third lines. Because "omnipresent" and "omnipotent" are adjectives, we generally do not put the articles "a" or "an" before them. You could get away with it with the word "omnipotent" because it can also be used as a noun meaning "God," But because you used "omnipresent" which is an adjective, to be consistent you should use "omnipotent" as an adjective also.
I indeed, will be praying for all wars to end. Thank you for sharing this, and good luck in the contest. Blessings to you.

Yes! Absolutely. God is everywhere in all places and he is all powerful. Well stated and within the parameters of the contest. I was so sorry I missed entry into this contest. I trust you can win it. Too bad it wasn't a 5 line poem so we could add "God is omniscient" as well.
