The author's words are strong, heartfelt, clear, meaningful and creative.
I pondered on how during my life a search for truth has been so meaningful. The author's notes and bible quotes compliment this poem well. And as the author states promotes mercy and promises. Great Poem!

Hello Roy, a timely poem. Your poem reads and flows well and has silky rhyming within. I especially liked:
Truth cannot change, it never bends.
(Now that's the truth, and the essence of this poem)
Well chosen artwork. A poem of truth and a pleasure to read. Keep the blue waters flowing. LateBloomer ~ Margaret

"Truth cannot change, it never bends." Your poem is very well done, expressing how our world has become, it is hard to know what to believe. The only thing we can stand on is the Word of God.

Another deep, Philosophical poem, Roy, very well penned. It's true that we can't know who to believe anymore, with so much to choose from out there on the web. Everyone picks their own choice for their own reason, and unfortunately we are all divided. You've summed it up nicely.

Thanks, Roy, for the thought-provoking poem. I saw that the national debt just passed thirty trillion and counting. Nobody tells us the truth of that and what it means. Excellent work as always.

I agree. I think truth is always the best. At least then we can make a real decision. A lie will always come back to get us. God is the truth and will always be the truth. We need to follow His guidance. Thank you for sharing.

As always, a great poem from you that brings us all to think about and exam what we believe and don't believe. I also pick truth and try to examine what I think is true and what are lies.

I love how you put your words into context with your interesting notes. I think we have to view history through the lens of the ones who were there...and at the same time question their interpretation. Thank you for sharing.

I love your notes almost as much as this poem.
You have hit the nail on the head when you say we each view history through a lens that sees through other's eyes and pens.
A profound and true statement.
I too have opted for truth.
Well done my friend.
Blessings

A sobering reflection on the reality of 'Truth' as it is being tossed about today, so to speak. The final two lines in stanza two hold truth therein yet send a shiver down the spine. I am re-reading Orwell's 1984 at the moment, the chapter where 2+2 make 5 is outlined and it makes for chilling reading!
