Thank you for this beautiful tribute to Bob! I especially loved your second stanza. With all that he experienced in life, he was about to write to share and to "repair" his own heart, too. So glad you got to know him so well.

Thank you for this kind review Helen. I only knew him through his writing, but that can tell us a lot about a person, right? He will be greatly missed by many, I'm sure. MM

I totally agree! I think I know my Fanstory friends whom I've never met in person better than my neighbors.

I am crying. This is such a poignant poem to Bob. Don't we all wish we could have told him what he did for us? He was one in a million. I see that I am a drop in the bucket of his fans, from the eloquent things I am reading. If he could only see the words that you have written, he would be so thrilled. Perhaps?? Do you think when we pass on we are still around?
But then his wife will see it, that we know. Bless you. Thank you for your elegance in this tribute.

Merri,
This is a well done poem that honors Bob's memory well. He was a good writer of both prose and poetry. He wrote about all his trials so we could know him well without meeting him in person. He was always helpful and encouraging in his reviews. I will miss them and him.
Keep writing and stay healthy

I think that's the real reason we write to leave an indelible legacy that will endure beyond the gates to eternity, I know that's why I do, and I'm sure you do too. I love biographies, particularly the ones which display our ability to overcome the cruelty of life, as Bob's was, so he leaves that marvellous work of his, bitterness wasn't his way, and he showed it, and displayed it without rancour or regret. Beautifully written Adonna, as only you can. Blessings Roy

I think you may be right Roy. Writing is certainly a good way to leave a bit of yourself behind. Thanks so much for reviewing this poem. I certainly enjoyed the one you wrote. MM

A beautiful tribute that comes from your heart. Sorry I never got to know this man, sounds like he was really valued on here.
Like this verse: "You may have gone to sail Forever's seas,
but things accomplished here will never die.
For, how you lived created memories
that give us comfort even as we cry."

I do not read stanzas, verbs, adjectives or nouns this time. I read only heart...and heart goes a long way.
A fitting tribute, when many a time, we forget to say that which we ought.
Heartfelt MissMerri. A fitting tribute to time and a man who has lived his fully.
A salute to our friend.
My best wishes.

"On Forever's Seas" is a marvelous creation for chapter 11 of your Biographical Poetry that I'm guessing will be your next book, hopefully! Of course, this beautiful poem gave me the sad news of losing the most helpful and meaningful critic of my pieces ever. I sure missed hearing from him in my last chapters. Many thanks for these "Memories of Mastery", MissM.

Thank you for reading this and rewarding my efforts with your golden stars. If you want to, you too, may add a chapter to this book. It is not all poetry. It is just FanStorians who knew Bob telling memories of him to comfort his family. I hope you will add your thoughts. Love... MissM

Hello Merri,
What a lovely tribute to Mastery. I didn't know him for very long, but I think he was one of the first to respond to one of my articles, and he did so with praise and advise. I liked the way he wrote and had become a fan of his. It was a shock to see that he had passed. He'll most certainly be missed. Have a blessed day.

Thank you Tom, for reading this and telling me your thoughts. Bob was one of the first to review my poetry too, when I first joined FanStory. I too, was shocked to learn of his passing. Thank you for the four stars, and if you have any ideas or suggestions for improvement, I'm always glad to hear them. Most gratefully, MM

Hi Merri,
I'm sorry about the four. That's not what I intended at all. I've had a time with the program downgrading my rating system. It's happened at least three other times to various artists. I don't know why. I know there's a way to correct it, I just don't remember how. You did a lovely job on the tribute to Bob and four wasn't what I intended at all. I'm so sorry.
Tom

Please don?t feel bad. I?ve had it happen to me a lot lately too so now I check before I hit save when I finish reviewing. If you want to change a rating, you go to the place where you wrote the original and where the ratings are you can change it.
I didn?t think you meant that.
