Thank you for putting those records on, I was a big Beetles' fan. I was all of 15 when their first hit single was recorded, 'Love, love me do,' that is so frightening! Where did those years go? Your poem is a delight, Sal, the whole world loved them. I'm guessing you were somewhat enthralled with them, too. Lol. Wonderful, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Thank you for the marvelous review and shared love of this music. I was eight in 1963 and already crazy for Paul. I saved my lunch money to buy those 45s... just Yesterday it seems....
Sending you my best today as always Sal XOs...

I remember being CRAZY about the Beatles. My prized possession as a pre-teen was a little purse with their picture on it! Your poem is an excellent tribute to them You have made effective use of "Yesterday"
on two levels.

Yesterday on two levels... I like that. It was a better time. Music was enjoyed by us all. So many good groups. I hope to feature more. Thank you, dear Janice.

Yes, Sally, I remember all this like it was yesterday. I was a sophomore in high school when the Beatles performed on the Ed Sullivan show. I remember when guys TRIED to wear their hair like the Beatles, but some teachers wouldn't allow them into their class. Some even had a comb handy so the guys could make themselves "look presentable." Those were the days!

My husband came close. I'll have to post our wedding photos sometime. Notice how crooked their hair was, yet we didn't care. My mother cut my hair until I was married. Sending you my best today as always and many thanks for the wonderful review.

Yesterday is such a haunting song. Yes many things that seemed so real in our lives feelzlike yesterday. Time has a way of seeming warped and we feel we should still be the young girl what we were. Nothing brings back that sensation as much as music. Your poem is lovely and I like the songs you provide for us to lister to.

When I saw the title, for a moment I thought it had to do something with John Lenon's all-time hit song 'yesterday'. I still have that 45rpm record with me and also a couple of LPs. Those were the days! I still enjoy the song and its many versions. Thank you for taking me back to the early 60s in the time machines. Cheers!

Thank you for the lovely review and personal comments. John Lennon and Paul McCartney wrote the song "Yesterday" in collaboration. I'm glad Paul sang it because I prefer his voice to John's. That's why I dedicated this to him. Sending you my very best today as always, Sally :))

I am still enamored with the Beatles too, Sally. What a wonderful Tribute you've written to them. Paul was the heartthrob of the group; I liked him the best. The Beatles music is still popular today, I think, because many of their songs were pure poetry set to "catchy" music. Thank you for the wonderful memory of the 60's and 70's!

Thank you for sharing. Interesting information - My husband was a huge Beetle fan. Especially Paul McCartney. He pins some pins on Pinterest about him and they were taken off. Mr. McCartney is very picky about copywrite. He won't allow anything to be printed about him.
