Good one, J. They aren't called ghost writers for no reason and you have added the extra element of the ghost as muse that is commanding you to put quill to spill the story you have to tell.

I don't know if you have grandkids or not, but if you do,your ghost tales would be a great hit! I just read your other ghost poem, and I couldn't believe the imagery it evoked! This one is great, too. It may have convinced me to try one, just to see if my brain will stretch that way:)

Oh, yayy! I am glad you have another audience to enjoy your tales! That is a poem waiting to be written...Eight little cherubs, sitting in a row, waiting for their grampa to put on a show. His words are thrilling, totally bone-chilling. You never know, how his story will go!

Great poem! The imagery is wonderful (and scary!) and the artwork equally so. You created suspense in just a few lines, and I was eager to learn the message of the ghost.

This is fabulous! It is fresh, new, uses beautiful words and poetic effects, has a touch of mystery and is transmitting perfectly the title "Ghost writer."
One, insignificant comment:
...toward me, gazing every so intently... I would leave out the "every so". To me, it weakens the line. But you may ignore this, it is very personal. I liked this poem immensely as it is.

I really liked the whole concept of the ghost telling you to write his-hers story before it's too late. I think in a strange way, every writer as a 'ghost' over their shoulder. I know I do, it's a tiny voice in my head telling me to write, write, write...You painted a picture with your words, and that picture turned into a story the more you read. This is a really good poem, and I throughly enjoyed it.
