Often we want someone to pay for a wrong doing, this is why they used to have mob hangings and witches were burned at the stake x x x

Excellent poetry, my friend. You capture a very sad moment in the human experience.. I was particularly moved by these lines:
"On a river of wounds tears

Congratulations on taking a well-known and commonly used phrase and breathing new life into it. My only comment is that a comma between 'wounds' and 'tears' may clarify the meaning without interrupting the flow... ...ec

Lovely poem that touches on one of the most important aspect of life, love and forgiveness. Revenge is a truly a cycle of misery that benefits no one but increases wounds that are bound to heal. Thanks for your inspiration.

I believe you have met the requirements of this contest: Write a five-lined poem. It has the following syllable count: 2-2-5-7-5. So the first line has two syllables, second line has two, third has five, fourth has 7, fifth line has 5 syllables.

There is no need or reason to think of an eye for an eye when one's heart is broken. It does no one any good to go for revenge. 'Tis very true that "on the river of wounds tears flow on endlessly." Well thought out!
