I love a good ol' military story and a love story so I like how you highlighted a couple. My favorite part is when he got to stay stationed locally in order to still be there for his pregnant wife and see the babies grow. That's not very common for military families especially during war time. You've ignited some memories of mine associated with the military when my husband had to get deployed to Iraq. Thanks to the two of you for a good chapter.

Hi-- This is an interesting story with lots going on.
What possessed Grandpa to permit two over-excited seven-year-old boys to go unaccompanied to fish from a bridge?
Seems like Billy has post-traumatic stress disorder & who wouldn't, with a buddy dying in your arms.
