Wow! How I enjoyed reading this! Everything happens at an enormous speed. Just like the tornado all try to run away from. Some could get to a shelter in time, others were not so lucky. I had to laugh finding out that the moonshine did its inevitable work. But poor grandfather with the pitchfork in his chest, now that is not so much to laugh about. Let's see the next time how that turns out...

This seems to have so much action. A tornado and a pitchfork accident (I assume, until the next chapter explains what happened, I surmise) in one chapter. I was just going to point out one word: The toronado musta picked me up
I think you mean 'tornado' even with the other creative Southern spelling.

You already know how much I enjoyed reading you two's posts. You both work together wonderfully for our reading pleasure. The descriptions and, of course, another cliff hanger are both really good.

OH, no. I didn't expect Grandpa would get killed - let's hope he's a tough old coot.
and it was gettin' so dark that I couldn't hardly see. (remove "that"?)
Less than ten minutes later, the tornado slammed into the barn taking half of it away, to include 30 bales of hay. (just worded a bit strange at the end... ) (taking half the timbers away, including 30 bales of hay)
cause the log cabin hadn't sustained any damage yet. (remove "yet"?)
