Hello Sandra. Well I guess I'm going to be taking a trip to Atlantis with Eric and company. The premise is interesting, but it will be more interesting to see how it falls in context. Just the discussions or observations about Atlantis will be interesting to hear.

I think you might remember Donovan Leitch, from Scotland. His song Atlantis was popular around 1970.

It's a nice time of the year to go visiting Atlantis, Robert! Lol. I can't remember Donovan's song, but I'll Google it and have a listen. I might know it, I always liked him, so it's possible I have heard it.

I'm really pleased you are joining me again on this new adventure, my friend.
Thank you for reading part one. Big hugs, :)) Sandra xxx

I enjoyed your introductory chapter to the new book, Sandra. I believe this will be an interesting book packed with many adventures in Atlantis. The conversation Eric and Herbie had about possibly going to Atlantis was natural. This idea reminds me of "Atlantis" by Donovan--do you know that song? Thanks for sharing. Respectfully, Jan

Oh this is going to be a fun adventure. I can tell.

You have done a wonderful job of laying out this next time travel.

I catch myself reading this through the eyes of your grandson. How he must feel reading what you are creating for him. One day showing it to his children. Love it!

What are the titles of the other books you have written? Wonderful that your husband supports you in your writing. You're very fortunate. Good luck with your new book.

Hi Rosemary, yes I have the most wonderful supportive husband, bless him.
The other books are in my portfolio. Bk 1 Eric and the Aliens, 2) Eric and the Indians. 3) Eric and the Pharaohs. All under the series, Eric's Epic Adventures.
I started writing these for my dyslexic grandson, Eric. He asked me if I would write a book about him as a super hero. (he is that in my eyes) He now attends a Special needs school and is doing really well. He's so proud that his school has bought these books and are read aloud. I'm leaving them on here anyway. I hope you join me in this adventure, Eric is going to find out the true story about Atlantis! lol. Thanks for reading the first chapter in this new adventure. :)) Sandra xx

how did your grandson get enrolled in a special needs school? What grade is he in?
reply by the author on 16-Feb-2020
I don't know what country you live in, I'm in the UK, and our 'grade's' are different. He's 12 years old and in the first year of senior school. My son rang around all the special needs school and got interviews with the head teachers. They assess each child and if he qualifies and they have room, they will take the child. He chose one that is about 30 miles from his home. There are 7 children in each class and only 10 classrooms. It's brilliant. He's doing so well now.

I live in Wisconsin. I long ways from the U.K. Is it public or private. Sounds like private.
reply by the author on 16-Feb-2020
No, not private. Public school, but so very good. There are quite a few of them in different counties. I believe there are three in Hampshire. It was just lucky that the one Eric managed to get into was so close.

Aw, love you, Yvonne. I'll tell my husband but that will make him so difficult to live with!! LOL. I'm over the moon that you'll be joining us on this adventure. Now all Eric has to do is get a good story for his teacher as to why he believes it's true. Not so hard, is it? Thank you so much, my friend for all those stars. You're the best!! :)) Sandra xxxx

I hadn't thought of Atlantis, of course you know Atlantis exists, but nobody else does. Hehehe. So now, Eric being a history buff, and Gizmo being able to transport them in time, they are off on another adventure, well done, blessings Roy

They are bad this morning. Funny. I had an eye exam in October and had 20/20 vision with no problems and now all of a sudden this. xx Nancy:)
reply by the author on 16-Feb-2020
That's awful! I'm praying you'll get them back to the 20/20 again, Nancy. It must be horrid not being able to see properly. Biggest hugs, dear friend.

Very well written. I did not notice any nits here at all. If there were any, I was too wrapped up in the story to take notice. You are doing really good with your fantasy story, from what I am able to tell. How many words in your books, may I ask?

Aww, thank you, Drew, what a nice thing to say. Thank you so much for the six stars, and the lovely comments. :)) xx

I'm writing these short individual books as a series, the last one was 17000 words, but the first two both had 12,500 words. If you're thinking of your new novel, my This Time - That Time trilogy, each had around 75000 words. A novella would have anything from 30,000 - 50,000 words. Publishers don't like novels much longer than 80,000 - 85,000 words these days, unless you are megga famous and your books would sell in their millions regardless of how good or bad they are.
You have a good story going there, so keep the plot in keeping with those days and you'll do fine. That era has a huge market. I hope that helps. xxxx

Do you really think so? That that era has a huge market! How can I find that out for myself?
reply by the author on 16-Feb-2020
Just put in that era on Amazon, and thousands will come up. I've been reading them for ages. It's my favourite period. :))

Thank you, Sandra! I will do that.

This was great Sandra, I just can't wait to see what Eric, Herbie and Gizmo discover on their new adventure. Oh and a thank you to your husband for the thought. It is a compelling dilemma indeed as to whether Atlantis truly does exist or not, a good choice, I eagerly await to read the coming chapters. Hugs and smiles Alie.

How exciting, an adventure to Atlantis. You did an excellent job on this first chapter. It was active and easy to read. I love it already. Nothing like a new adventure. Shirley
