Thanks God, Helen is safe and sound in the arms of her relatives. I really laughed at this part :"Abdul would not have agreed. A quarter of a mile travelling in a primitive cart over a stony, potholed track with a punctured lung must have seemed like a medieval torture. Add wooden wheels banded with iron, and a donkey whose jolting progress depended on the tastiness of the roadside vegetation, and the Inquisition could not have done a better job of refining his torment."
Thank you for sharing another packed with action chapter.

A very well-written chapter. Help with the sick prisoner comes along and the owner of the hotel seems ecstatic to deliver the terrorist to the authorities.

Thanks, Sandra. I'm hoping to get most of the loose ends tied up in the last couple of chapters. All the best, Tony.

What I liked about this chapter is where the story is headed but what disappointed me was how you quickly you went through with this one! They had finally managed to capture Abdul alive in the previous chapter and I was expecting that they would sit back, relax and contemplate their next move! Or Abdul might try to make a run for it even in his condition or something like that. But you just shipped him off and moved on! :-(

You're really going for it now, Tony. I enjoyed the pain that Abdul was forced to suffer, and when he asked Tony for mercy, well, I'd have given him another thump in the ribs!! Those people who torture others for pleasure are cowards when it comes to getting it back! I hope Helen gets her strength and confidence back soon, for her sake and Charles's. Another excellent chapter, my friend, I'm sorry I'm out of sixes, this deserves one, as do they all. :)) Sandra xxx

You've captured well how Charles must have felt reconnecting with Bisto after such an ordeal. Talk about from one extreme to the other!

Just one thought and not even sure it's valid:

to the Police Checkpoint at the head of Bumburet Valley - just wondering about the capitals for 'Police Checkpoint'

Best wishes
Judy

Thanks, Judy. You're probably right about Police Checkpoint. It was in upper case on Google Maps, but lower case would fit better. All good wishes, Tony
