This poem shows the circle of life. I like the metaphor of growing to reach the sky for getting taller. This shows that life has its ups and downs but we get through it and in the end are grateful for it.
I thing joyously is a better word the rejoicefully, which I don't think is a proper word.
Good luck and keep writing

I think this is a good entry for the "This is my Life" contest.
This well written verse takes the reader through the poet's life very nicely.
Well done and I wish you luck with the contest.

Well done - a life well lived with no regrets. Sounds as if you raised your children to be trustworthy-upstanding - work hard - good parents. This I guess is our goal too - we determined early in our marriage that we would be there for our grandkids. Both the parents of my husband and myself worked till late in their lives - so our kids didnt' ahve g.parents around.
Good job.

Gail, thank you. We are richly rewarded, and our give back is also to our eight grandchildren, where they see there "papa" play on the ground with them...something I regret there moms and dads did not have the pleasure to see.

Wow! Your writing details a story of my life as well as many others.
Your words are also guidance to many
who still face the future or caring and sharing with family
and friends. Loved it.

I liked the way each of your stanzas described an new chapter of life. I could easily relate!

Your picture was a great choice for the 'primordial cosmos' part of your poem!

Best of luck in the This Is My Life! writing prompt entry

You did indeed take us through the steps of life and how they are handled or looked at. Very different rhyme and flow to this piece using varied rhyming skills. Nicely done

Well, life surely is a complicated thing, but there is much to celebrate too, and your poem seems to do just that, to me anyway. I enjoyed it very much. Best of luck in the contest.

outstanding work. A nice transition smooth yet turbulent at the same time well described. I like the spaces between and The irregular and slant rhyming made this appealing in a very oddball way. I would have given this 6.

Blessings,

This is a nicely written poem which depicts a very blessed life. I especially like your authors note about "all of its stages never rehearsed just lived." So it is for all of us. Good luck in the contest.

The different stages of life actually go by quite fast and then there we are, with time to think and digest the entire scenario of what just took place. You have summed it all up quite well. Best wishes in the contest.
