A well-constructed Kyrielle that reflects the thoughts of the retiring executive and what his legacy will be .... if any. Best advice: don't worry about it and go have a vacation (and perhaps a drink)! ;) LOL! ;) Thanx for sharing and best of luck at the polls! ;)

Words that are never unspoken relates to someone speaking from the heart. It's always best to speak the truth without convicting the person. It's easy to point the finger or blame without hearing two sides of the story.

Beautiful Kyrielle, perfect structure! It is such a worry that values are left behind by us, but I fear to many young people are not being taught values. Too much violence which speaks of a blatant disregard for life. It boggles my mind how easily they take another's life. Manners also are sliding by the wayside, no more thank you's and please's. I love that line that you repeat throughout this. What's said can never be unspoken. When words pass from our lips into the free air, then, there is no going back. The impact whether good or bad has been released. I love the powerful message of this and enjoyed reading this inspirational and well written work. Well done!

Hello anon, this is a good Kyrielle, well written in reflective mode. The repeated line throughout are so true. Once we have spoken words can't be erased. In a situation of power this can have real negative effect. A person does the best he can under certain circumstances. An interesting stanza -
Over years, at my direction
paths taken by my suggestions,
of sane reasoning for greed's needs.
What said can ne'er be unspoken!........ greed's needs. Interesting words. I've heard it said -
'"When morality comes up against profit, it is seldom that profit loses." -

this is a very good piece with good flow, but I couldn't really pick out your rhyme scheme. also, i did notice 1 SPAG - 'ner (ne'er)
