This is a very beautiful double tableau poem in honor of Jesus. I was particularly moved by the emblems and tokens in the hands and feet. This is a unique and powerful set of lines describing Jesus's sacrifice on the cross. Great job!

I love your poem! It's very well written and easy to read. The picture just enhances an already beautiful poem. I think I could get lost in that picture of Jesus with his arms stretched out to us all.
God bless!
Patty

I enjoyed the spiritual approach you took with this one. Reminds me of Psalm 23 which is my favorite. So very comforting. You have taken a little different twist but very effective. The picture, too, is perfect for your poem. Blessings, Carol

    Hi Carol,
You know your scriptures. In fact, this poem is a part of a series of poems I am writing based on words and phrases from Psalm 23. I am happy to hear you enjoyed it.

I remember someone saying, "How much do you love me Lord?" "This much" extending His arms. He couldn't possibly love us more than that! Beautifully written Debi, you're wonderfully easy write are wonderfull enthralling in their amazement of God's love. Well done, blessings, Roy

-Nice image and
presentation, Debi.
-Notes are appreciated.
-A well written poem
that comes from your heart.
-It is very sincere with
a comforting tone, like
"Kindness in your eyes"
"beckoning with love."
-The ending is very good, too.
-Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful spiritual poem! I like that you take the start with the attire (rod, staff, hem of the robe) to focus on the Good Shepherd and in the second stanza, you focus on the love that the physical features communicate, ending with His call to follow Him. Nicely done!
