Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

In my opinion, a stunning presentation, in verse, without any doubt, image AND layout. I view this masterful write in the 'light' in which it was surely intended, a beautiful and extraordinary poem, in tribute to the wonder of stars, flaming and departed...

Neat little metaphor throughout here, calling the stars jewels or beads, when they fall. Gorgeous photo as well. Having said that, I would remove some of the last punctuation altogether:
shine's
glow's
gleam's
flare's
But, the stars that fall go dark!
I would take out ALL of the apostrophes above.
And I would remove the comma after 'But' to finish off. Nice share.

Good one! There's still something very exciting about a shooting star.

I found this harder to write than a longer form. You chose the perfect picture to accompany your poem.

I enjoyed your challenge poem, JLR. You did a great job with the style of candlelight. Your words flow smoothly and create great imagery. I could envision myself watching falling stars. Your image is beautiful and a great pairing with your well-chosen words.

I would add 's' to these words as the word each is singular. I know that is your choice, though.
shine, glow, gleam, flare

Thanks for sharing. Respectfully, Jan

Interesting form - you did this well. I like the use of jewels to contrast with the stars. But yet? Do we know the stars go dark - perhaps they light somewhere in the mountains and glow awhile. And all the deer and squirrels gather round and roast marshmallows? Just a thought.

Gail, that thought would make for a very engaging children's poem

Thank you for sharing your thoughts through your poem. And, kudos for using this style of poetry. Your selection is not an easy one. I enjoyed the reading and the picture selection.

This is a good one for candlelight. I live in the country and I can see the stars so beautifully sometimes, there have been nights where my husband and I go out and just watch. Thanks

I saw the challenge but this is the first I have seen and yes it does indeed fulfill the form challenge. Very nicely done and rules followed, you also kept the words flowing.
