You picked the Master of dissertations as an inspiration. Your poem is a gentle reminder to us all, as well as your author's notes, that there is usually a sacrifice or some kind of pain that leads to future happiness. We of course think of the Sacrificial Lamb (Jesus Christ) as he died on the cross to erase our sins and give us hope for the future. This is a beautiful composition.

As I read this, I thought about Khalil Gibran. I first read his poetry in high school fifty-five years ago and have since given his book, The Prophet as a graduation gift. This is wonderful. I wish you well in the contest.

This is beautiful .Khalil Gibran is a poet whose words hits directly at you .His 'Prophet ' is full of wisdom which we could use .
I loved the poem .It shows a rare intensity of faith .The rhymes were natural and the flow very smooth .All the best for the contest.
