I haven't read the other chapters, yet, but I did enjoy reading this one. It moved along nicely, and there really wasn't a dull moment, I don't think. Nice job.

I'm so pleased that nasty nurse was fired, she deserved it!! Reading Bill and Cathy talking about the meaning of love, and also Grandpa's, I thought how right you all are. This is an AWESOME chapter, Cathy and Bill. The storyline is developing quickly. I enjoyed reading this one. After the way chapter nine introduced the 'cat fight,' this was does a great job of concluding it. Yes, that nurse was unprofessional and deserved to be fired on the spot. I like Grandpa's reaction, and how he dealt with Cathy. I believe without saying or doing more, he acted appropriately. Also, I believe in his heart, he knew Cathy was right and really did support her.
Cathy's reaction once she left the scene were great at showing readers how much she really cares about Bill. It is normal for her to have those feelings of wondering if Bill had changed his mind about them. Her writing about the situation in the poem is a great way to deliver her thoughts to readers rather than just 'telling' readers in sentence form. Her poem is poignant, flows well, has great rhymes, and gives much insight to her inner thoughts.
I like the references to the 'things' from 1964 and later more specific info about them in the videos. They do a great job of keeping the time frame current in readers' minds.
The inclusion of Grandpa mentioning that he brought Bill some of his stories is a great tie-in from an earlier chapter when he(Grandpa) shared some of them with her on the trip to the hospital.
The story from Bill adds depth to his and Cathy's relationship after that incident in the hospital which should put Cathy's mind at ease as to how he feels, and has all along about her. I like the way you included the one with the nature theme--shows another aspect of Bill's personality. Readers get more insight, too, about Grandpa and his love for Grandma in a way that doesn't just say in a sentence "I love you." His words, through Bill's recollections, show how Bill is, and always will be, flamboyant and flirty--just like Grandpa.
The cliff hangar is intense. Thank you both for sharing this awesome chapter. I look forward to chapter 10.

I've only been writing for a little more than a year and learn so much for you both. Brown sugar pop tarts were my favorite and Bobby Vinton--a sugared voice.
