Oh my! Things did heat up in a couple of ways. I liked your fun verbal banter between Helen and Charles. But now that the beautiful Moonrakers is on fire, what will happen to their stay?

Thanks for your comments, Helen. This was an altogether unexpected turn of events. I'm not sure where it will take them both.

It really does seem your life will change with the miscreant log starting a fire, sounds exciting, but I don't want to circumvent your story. Leaving your friend in the Cotswolds you venture to your home. I wonder what happened to their travel writing, and why your hero Charles iscengish, and a retired RAF, pilot. Well done Tony, good writing, blessjngs, Roy

Thanks, Roy. I appreciate your comments. The plot and sub-plots are getting in a bit of a tangle. They will probably need a bit of pruning in the final edit. Best wishes, Tony

A very well-written chapter and a literal warm up at Moonrakers, I hope there will be something left after the fire is taken care of. Distrtaction comes easily and accidents happen when we do not put out the fire or at least put off the kettle.

Thanks, Sandra. I appreciate your comments. I don't hold out much hope for the cottage, with its old wooden beams and thatched roof.

The cottage being on fire is not at all a good thing. Charles will probably use his home. I am sure you have this all worked out. I love the story but unfortunately don't have any sixes left. Sorry.

Oh, goodness, I hope it didn't burn down that lovely cottage. Did Helen do something to help it along? I still don't trust her, especially after Charles said little did he know what putting the car away would cost him.

Thanks, Yvonne. I appreciate your comments. I don't hold out much hope for the cottage, with its old wooden beams and thatched roof. A bit of a blow for poor old Charles.

My God, Tony, his cottage is on fire!!. I don't know what I expected but certainly not this. What on earth now? Are they getting out in one piece? Can the cottage be saved? Oh, this doesn't bear thinking of. For a moment of lust he's to loose his love and pride. As you can gather I've no sixes left. All best. Ulla:)))

This is yet another beautifully written addition to the story. I really like Helen as she seems outwardly fragile and yet comes across tough as nails in other ways - very well written complex character. I am very glad they skipped the tea and pursued more important endeavors instead :). Well done and thank you very much for sharing it.

Sounds like your characters have found themselves in a heck of a mess. I do hope they get out safely. The chapter is well-written, interesting. Although this is the first chapter I've read from this story it was easy to follow, nice job.
