Lol! That's so cute. How does that happen? Was this based on a true story? I have heard about dogs catching buses but I don't think any animal willingly goes to the vet!

Yes, it's a true story. The dog lives just down the street from the vet's office. I wish I could have seen his owner's face when Dr. Foster told him the dog was on time, but the man was late. LOL

There were a few times when I had to cancel an appointment when my free-range
dogs hid from me, never the other way around....excellent flash (fiction?) it seems to me.

Thank you. I've had to cancel, too, for the same reason. This dog lived right down the street from the vet's office.

Great story entry for the dribble flash. Besides having a hilarious plot, you did a good job structuring the story with so few words. It is interesting how each word is so important in one of these flash stories

What a fantastic flash fiction this is, Yvonne. It just goes to show how intelligent animals/dogs really are. The dog understood the appointment and wasn't going to be missing it despite the man's being late.
A fine story and a most worthy entry into the contest.
