This chapter/post is so full of action and adventure. And as always timely changes of scenes, great flow, perfect dialogue. Add to all that the killing suspense which drives the reader to keep on, wanting to know what happens next and to whom. The poker scene had me in stitches even as I cheered in sheer Schadenfreude.
Chewing my nails waiting for the next post.
Excellent writing, my friend.

Out of sixes, darn it! She should have taken the poker with her. Bet it would have scared those idiot bullies to death. Hurry with the next chapter. I can't wait to see how she frees Joe. The tension is killing me.

Oh, Christine, thank you so very much! What a wonderful review. You know how to put a smile on my face. I know I've been slack with my poetry lately, I must write some. I'm so pleased you are getting my Kindle version, I do hope you enjoy it. My son bought me a Kindle a while ago. They are handy for slipping in the bag and reading on the go. Thank you, again, my friend. Big hugs, Sandra xxx

You chapters always flow so smoothly that they are a joy to read. I like the poker trick and will look forward to seeing how she handles Joe's situation. You picked a good point to continue this. Have great day, my friend. Sorry, I am all out of 6's

That is such a lovely review, Douglas, and never worry about a 6, your words more than make up for that! Thank you, my dear friend. Big hugs! :) Sandra xxx

Iron pokers have a way of getting a fella's attention, even in the hands of a woman. And for me, it would always be best to see that the creeps get a few good wallops or ten. Thanks for sharing another fine chapter. :-)

Thank you, Ric. I would have given him a bit more of a wallop, too. Veronica was worried about upsetting the children, though I think Daveth wouldn't have worried, lol. Thank you for your lovely review, my friend. :) Sandra xx

LOL!!! Linda ... NO ZITS!!!! My hero's don't have ZITS! LOL!!! I think if I had a man like that, I'd never let him out, especially if I heard there was a flight from America due in, with a passenger by the name of Linda on it! You are so funny, my dear friend, you always give me a fit of the giggles. Thank you for this lovely review, my wondIerful friend. Love you lots, too.
Ian is having some tests done on his foot, the blisters have got worse. He's getting himself geared up for another op. We won't know until Tuesday. ~Sarah is doing fine, she still hasn't made her mind up about the mastectomy. I wish she would go for it, and then she'd be able to get on with the rest of her life. She is too young to waste it. They do amazing things these days.
I hope your mum is fine, and tell her I'll share Gibbs with her! lol. (I'm can be quite generous sometimes.) Big hugs, and lots of love! xxxx Sandra xx

LOL...well that's a relief...NO ZITS...and not to worry...you don't have to let him out...I'll just come in...LOL...and trusts me...my mother is 88 years old...she would fight to the finish for Gibbs...LOL...but her favorite was Jacob from Twilight...the movie...the wolf...she used to have his picture on her wall...my father just laughed at her...she said it looked like dad when he was younger...he would come in from outside at night...and tell her he saw Jacob on the first pasture...she would start laughing...and it made him smile...what a couple...
I am so sorry about Ian...I wonder why it keeps coming back...why it just doesn't heal...tell him I am thinking about him...and he always in my prayers...like you...I think Sarah should just get it done...but it is a big step...big hugs all around...and so much love...xxoo Linda

A very enjoyable chapter Sandra. It was full of activity and adventure. There was a high level of suspense which prompted the reader to read on, wanting more and more information. It has a great flow and you found just the right time to change scenes. Very well done, thanks. Oh--A slight mistake- when Daveth was about to leave the cottage you mentioned Joe instead, after Gladys had said she would bolt the door. Sorry. (smile)
