Hello Smushy, This is priceless my friend. I am still laughing about how simple an answer there was to the sound and yet while you were attempting to enjoy a walk you couldn't think. Great write. I loved it. xoxo d

haha SP. Funny but not funny when it happens to you. I enjoyed your story. I like how you finally found the 'ghost.' I will remember this the next time I hear strange noises for no reason. You are right about not falling & breaking your neck--be careful. I am recovering from a fall--not fun. Thanks for sharing. Jan

Walking backwards was foolish, I have fallen so many times and once broke 11 ribs. Not a smart thing to to.

Just a fun read, good way to close out the day. I think we all have experienced something like that, can cause a sense of unease amt that is enough to get the mind working. Hope the new name works for you...takes time for me to change. Age thing I reckon.

I ran out of 6's Smushy. You really deserve one for this. The reader is right there with you as the events unravel and the ending twist is delightful.

Ha ha ha, now that was cute...and...funny!
Your ability to stretch the details, the moment in time, is very effective.
By the time I was almost to the end, I began to suspect you had something attached to your belt or something; but, a box of vitamins?
You sure a ghost didn't secret them in there?

Ha! Remember, I don't believe in ghosts...most of the time.

You're on a roll with your posts--despite the paranoia, you must be feeling better. I liked your use of onomatopoeia and the suspense. I'll never tell about the real culprit! Smiles- Joan

This was so funny! I started to think it was your flip flops a bit loose. (I think we call them thongs here and not the thing women wear in their nether regions ok) Great story thanks muchly.

The English language is quite queer in a lot of ways. Same words can mean totally different.

That's a kick-ass funny little story, Sasha ... and you did an admirable job (that's what I'm looking for when I read), concealing the "kicker" until the very end.
I liked this, and your paranoia doesn't concern me as long as you recognize it as such and are able to laugh at it ... you're cool!

Thanks. Yes, I am consumed with paranoia and I do hope I get off this crazy train soon...being paranoid is exhausting and time consuming.

LOL! That's so funny. I knew that it must have been something like that. But I thought maybe something was stuck on your flipflops. Glad you solved the mystery!
One spelling issue:
"but something WAS fallowing me" (following)

Thanks for catching that. Although I felt silly, I was relieved no ghost was following me.
