This is another great production Dean. The stars seen in the moving waters is a splendid scene. It is so soothing and comforting. There is peace in the photo that I can feel even when I close my eyes, after looking at it and I imagine myself there, in that peace and gorgeous scenery. I agree with your exceptional words for this haiku.
Even your haiku's are marvelous. REMARKABLE!

A soft and serene Haiku filled with sparkling reflections of our shores, your Haiku gave me an image of my many images of the sea under the sun I have had the privilege to see all over the world, love Dolly x

ahhh, the imagery of stars on a night-time lake gives pause for reflection of dreamy memories. It is a perfect accompaniment to the poem.
The 's' sound throughout the first two lines set the mood for softness and sweet, shimmering warmth on a no longer dark night.
Comforting, soothing thoughts. Beautiful.

Nice!, really nice Now that is a really nice haiku and considering I am non-plus about them as a rule I liked this I think it was a combination of the dynamics of the image complimenting your words perfectly. well done you'll convert me yet. lol

My goodness Dean, that artwork is mesmerising I can't take my eyes off it, your not some secret psychic are you, trying to control our minds.
Ummmm...enough of that,
A beautiful Haiku that marries with the said artwork so well, ....gotta to go and look at that shimmering sea some more.

A beautiful pairing of poetry and art that conveys a picture of serenity. Awesome use of alliteration that appeals to both the eye and the ear. Just posted a request to Gypsy to add me to the group.

A well described haiku that is beautiful to read and to look at. Theme and presentation are tranquil and soothing with my favorite color--blue. Poem brims with alliteration of "s." Marilyn

Awe, Cap'n Cook! Your words melt off hot butter. Your quill is dipped in octopus ink, your blase and mind is sharp, scurvy dog. Sea looks majestic, what an alliteration! Stars shines on shimmering seas and sand dollars, starfish, mermaids adrift on seaweed. Picture is captivating! BOO can grab 5 stars. next time will be the big dipper, savvy?
