Pedophilia is still prevalent in the world is especially in the cyber world and social networking. Facebook put an age limitation of 14 to have a facebook account and I can see why.

Effective poem for so few words and the picture you chose is absolutely perfect for your topic -kinda' eerie! I like how you were able to use dialogue too. "Run" is definitely the best way to avoid an amber alert, if you can. Good luck in the contest.

I am anything but a poet, seldom attempt to write and often am left confused by what the poet is trying to say. So, I cannot offering any technical comments. But I think this is a terrific poem with so few words to say so much. There's no better advice you can give your children. Excellent choice of words!

The Amber Alert was created in Australia when a little boy was stolen, later murdered. The family travels from school to school, teaching the children to never get in a stranger's car. Best wishes for the contest friend.

I remember when one of my boys was about 10 years old, a lady on the other side of the neighborhood gave him a big bag of candy. He bicycled all the way home for me to inspect it. What I had told him paid off, but the candy was okay. The lady's husband was a sale rep for a candy company. Good to know when you get through to a child, though.
