I enjoyed this poem. A very down to earth view of a typical childhood dilemma.
The only problem I had with it was that lines 4 and 12 had too many syllables and I felt the rhythm of the poem was lost. Am I being pedantic - perhaps but the way a piece flows I believe is very important. Otherwise a very good poem.

Yes I agree with you, I've never really embraced accountability, fortunately I was blessed with a little talent, so I was able, by enlarge, cleverly mask my dislike. What a fun poem to list the anxious excuses for not being ready for a test! The regular rhythm and rhyme pound home the anxiety. My favorite line is the lost brain on the "bedroom floor." I can easily remember teens and their bedroom floors!

Oh, do I remember the excuses I got from students on test day. Many sounded like this Speaker's. I really like the light-hearted, self-mocking tone. A fun read that should do well in the contest.
